Really? I would have seen the cogheads as collaborating with the smugglers, defending them as long as they get their precious metal bitz.

Though I suppose it would require too many coincidences to explain why they don't do the digging themselves.

What are the Mechanicus Skitarii?

Also, Chabal, yeah, they probably dabble in pretty much everything.

In any case, I've got to get going for a couple of hours. Feel free to leave questions for me!

Mr. Sang would certainly be interested in doing deals with them...

As for my illustration:

Name: Isaac Bickerstaff

Gender: Male

Hair: Not particukarky short or long. Black. Untidy.

Physique: Very thin, almost emaciated. Sunken eyes. Very pale. Has lesions on some parts of his skin.

Equipment: Wears a battered and dirty jacket. I haven't put much thought into his clothes other than that. I'll get back to you. He also wears a belt which has dozens of vials and syringes attached to it. Carries a staff/cane made out of a withered tree branch. There is a hole in the staff from which flies and insects crawl out.

Preferred Pose: Standing straight, one hand on his staff, the other by his side. Smiling maliciously with one side of his face at the viewer.

So many illustrations. It makes my heart warm up.

Also, if anyone needs a reference on Space marine armor, there's this.

Yeesh. I know we're all ecstatic to have artwork of our characters now, but please try to slow down a bit, please?

@ Tuj: No, Lana did not have any overt daemonic bit; at times she had creepy little mouths full of teeth in her fingertips, but that was more an aspect of shapeshifting than anything else. She's basically a textbook example of The Beautiful People (the villainous variety, in this case).

And... no, I don't believe her robes were see-through. That said, we could make them somewhat translucent, if only to glimpse what's underneath...

As for the pose...something haughty, imperious yet enticing.

I'm back! Thanks for that link to the Skitarii.

@Made of Axes:

True, I imagine they probably have a trade agreement...

Also, I'm tempted to write up a story about this Gensokyo Mafia... yay or nay?

Yes, that we may see what we're up against.

Yakuzaish or Italianesque?

They're going to be a fusion - they're going to take some elements of the Italian Mafia and others from the Yakuza. Either way, expect fancy suits for both genders. tongue

I'll probably need a bit of help in doing the research, since I do not want to ruin the story by writing something stupid.

Also, I've got two different ideas as for the plot:

1. The Gensokyo Mafia are making a delivery to someone, but they have to avoid the authorities.

2. The Imperium of Man are trying to bust some of the members of the Gensokyo Mafia, but they encounter more resistance than they expected...

I'll let you guys choose which one I write.

option 1 plz.

I would like option 2 (but it will require thinking out my character some more, he is literally just a picture right now).

They probably have a close relation with Tewi, the black market boss.

Okay, right now the plot options are tied.

@Oni-Lord:

Sure! After all, they may like portraying themselves as being good enough to run themselves with no help, but they certainly aren't going to piss off the person at the top of the foodchain. tongue

Or maybe you could have 2 follow 1? The party manages to intercept the delivery (give everybody a one-shot mook to control to provide resistance) and interrogate a mook, the next scene has them launching a raid on their warehouse, which they discover has been heavily fortified. Have the Arbites already been introduced to the planet?

@Chabal:

I think you've (understandably) misunderstood. This is the plot for the story - I still need to decide the plot for the mission.

Doesn't sound bad at all, Flanker. And we'll probably be interacting quite a bit with Tewi. After all, information is a valuable commodity to people such as her. When our draw-friends are ready, I suppose I'll post a description sheet of Arcturus.

Thanks, L3wt.

Yeah, I think this will probably be one of my most research heavy obligations yet, as it's not like I know very much about Touhou...

Anyone else care to give opinions on which plotline I go with?

If it's for the story, then the first one.

Also, I believe this to be an accurate representation of the Gensokyan Basilica.

Okay, then it's decided.

Now, on to business.

What sort of security would Gensokyo have?

What sort of ship would be good for smuggling?

EDIT:

Yeah, that was pretty damn epic.

Indeed it is. A rare Imperial structure of both purpose and beauty, it would be.

Apparently "koutetsu" is a way to say "steel" in Japanese.
