I'll be honest... I'm confused here. The sword is the youkai, moreso than the body being manifested. Kogasa is the umbrella itself, moreso than the girl with heterochromia holding it. That's just an avatar.

So possessing the sword is possessing the youkai.

As I said, I'm confused right now, as I'm not entirely sure if I'm getting what you're trying to say.

Because the sword is possessed before it manifests a youkai. We can not say that every physical object is a youkai.

Oh like that, before youkai-hood. Got it. That makes more sense. Much more. I was really perplexed for a moment there.

Yeah, in that case I agree, I think.

Yeah, sorry. Looking back at my posts, I can see that that wasn't very clear.

Well there's bound to be a few possessed weapons left lying around Gensokyo for treatment. Would the numbers of abandoned Imperial equipment and hammer activation chances be high enough for an entire self-supplying tsukumogami regiment?

Y'know, every year the finals loom nigh, you always hear the same stories again and again. The one student who shot himself (granting full marks to his traumatized classmates), the one who showed up so full of stimulants who could only write his own name over and over for two hours, or the one who snapped and fled civilization, never to be seen again.

I never thought I'd see the day when the teacher pulled a no-show.

Yes indeed, today's final was cut short about two hours and fifteen minutes thanks to his absence (and more importantly, the test papers' absence), and though I for one hope this translates to everyone getting the average, no questions asked, I cannot help but fear that some desperate Saturday morning makeup session will be involved.

Samus. That's the only name you'll hear. Samus. It means the end and the death. Samus. I am Samus...

They say this model is supposed to represent how he looked during the Battle of Calth, but maaaaaaan, I don't know what book those model sculptors were reading because he looked nothing like this at the time. He was some sort of quadrupedal insect-bat-wyvern thing the size of a Shadowsword super heavy tank.

He did look a bit like this in Horus Rising, however.

Presumably the artist took a look at the first description, then at his tools, then the description again and laughed long and loud before ending with a flat "No."

Then he got sloshed and produced the model above.

Look what I found!

So if the next Touhou game is titled "Legacy of the Lunatic Kingdom", does that mean we have to go through the whole post-war Moon politics again?

There's no 'the' in the name, but that would depend on the mood here. Considering our pace, we have ample time to think of something.

Byakuren probably runs faster without the bike, but it fits her Urban Legend.

Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: it might have been.

Entirely logical. The practical applications are infinite.

Disappointments in scientific nomenclature, cont'd.

Sintering is the term for compressing granular materials into larger grains, making it more compact and solid. This often involves tremendous amounts of heat and pressure, though not to the point of melting the material.

With that in mind, what does Spark Plasma Sintering evoke?

Using electrical arcs and superheated gas to force the target into shrinking?

Drowning the target in the stuff of stars and supernovas, then introducing a single spark that ravages the target in a cataclysmic explosion?

For those with excellent taste in videogames, calling upon the spirits of unbound air and wind to tear open the sky, unleashing the full fury of lightning and tempest upon a wretched pile of sand?

Thus you can imagine the drop in my spirits as I was informed that what it actually does is force a great deal of electricity through and around the material contained in a carbon matrix (which heats it up) while the matrix is slowly squeezed together. The whole thing takes up an entire room, and takes half an hour to work on targets that can reach the astounding size of up to 8 millimeters.

I can assure you that when we next meet orks firing Sparky Plasmer Shootaz, they will not be used to reduce the total surface area of whatever's in their gitfindas. Quite the opposite in fact.

Honestly, stage 3 boss Doremy Sweet is great. Can confirm, her boss fight is stupidly hard for a stage 3 boss. Honestly that goes for Seiran and Ringo too, all of them feel like they would have been around 2 stages higher in any other Touhou game.
