Oh lord, not another one. Can they please just leave the series alone now? The second half of the ending was disappointing enough.
Against all tyrants.I'm more disgusted at the name...
Really? Referencing that show? Really? What is wrong with you people!?
Who needs a signature, really?^ I'm probably going to feel really stupid about asking this, but what's the problem with the title?
Against all tyrants.I'm hoping they don't have Adama in it too much. I like not knowing if the character is going to survive the series.
Fight smart, not fair.I hope they get a better guy to play him than that generic 'GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR MY THROAT IS FULL OF METAL AND I MUST SHOUT EVERYTHING IN A GRUFF, MANLY VOICE' guy from Razor.
Against all tyrants.Actually the title is a fairly appropriate historical reference.

The unification of the Twelve Colonies makes a decent parallel to Bismarck's unification of modern Germany. Not to mention said unification unintentionally led to a cycle of hideously bloody wars and genocide. Seems to fit the BSG 'Verse just fine.
As for Spartacus, I personally doubt the showrunners intended to reference Herr Otto. Seems a pretty straightforwarrd description of 1/2 of the show's content. Whether they would gain or lose viewers with the more honest title Spartacus: Blood, Sand, Tits, and Ho-Yay remains a matter for public discussion.

I disagree a bit. The Unification of the Twelve Colonies (which from what we saw in Caprica had very strong individual identities) is, imo, not very similar to the formation of the German Empire. For once, despite separated into many Nations, the term "Germany" was very old and many of those nations were clear on beeing german.
Also the idea of unification was not new to Bismarcks era. He was just the one Magnificent Bastard who manipulated everything into making it work.
Bear also in mind that "Blood and Iron" references FOREIGN policy (beeing ready to kick ass if diplomacy does not work, or rather going Clausewitz on someone.)
Given the lack of strong foreign nations to the Twelve Colonies to make such a similar statement...i do find the parrallel a bit far fetched.
I personably think the just wanted something that sounded cool.
and btw...as a German I must object to the comment of the Kaiserreich as "Modern Germany" ;)
"You can reply to this Message!"In case anyone is interested, the trailer for the pilot is up
.
