I basically decided Piper needed a weakness or she'd end up being a lot like me and potentially annoying. Then she ran with it. Again, something I'm used to, but it did surprise me.

Hot-Blooded to annoying levels and Genre Savvy to the point of pretty much predicting the plot. Especially that last one would've killed the dramatic tension, so I dropped it. For the rest, he'd pretty much be acting like a Super Robot protagonist. As it is, I've brought him down to "mildly excitable".

I've noticed Earl being nicer and amazingly even Roxy is coming around to the idea that he's not a super jerk. ~.^
It took me about one battle before I went "fuck no, that's ridiculous" on my character concept.
