Shouldn't you change your ealier post to show you went to the bridge instead of the hanger with the others?

I think it's assumed that Earl followed the Alexei since they're headed on the same shuttle. Or at least I thought so, so unless James it talking to the ship captain [and I don't think he is], then he is still with Alexei and therefore Earl.

Then why is Earl on the Bridge and not the Shuttle?

James is on the bridge with Jimmy.

Hence why the Comm officer responded to him.

Just the kind of thing Earl would say.

Oh, you poor, poor, deprived little man. There's a reason I keep linking and referencing it.

Sick days are perfect for this kind of thing.

I rather like it. Between this, Rebuild of Evangelion, and Firefly, I've upped my nerd cred by a good few thousand point this winter.

"Between this, Rebuild of Evangelion, and Firefly."

I haven't watched any of those except a few episodes of Firefly.

Not really bothered with rebuild. I got a few episodes on DVD as a gift and watched those. I am not even sure I still have them. I watched them and I'm still not even really sure what it is about. It seemed like a rushed recap of the first bit of the original with a new graphics and then at some point they introduce new characters which feels like some awkward fanfic to me...

Tried watching Firefly, but the 72 minute thing clicked before I even finished the first episode

I am watching Overman King Gainer! Also, Persona but that is mostly so I can figure out what the hell I am doing in an RP that I signed up for without thinking.

Scholable: Then you don't have much nerd cred.

Unless your love of the Civil War carries over into that...

You still need to make some kind of Civil War RP, in like Dynasty Warriors style, where everyone plays as real generals but run through the Koei filter. I retroactively call Colonel Mosby if you ever do.

Koei filter?

Also, I'm watching Battlestar Galactica mucic videos to inspire Jimmy's memoirs. Thats nerdy, right?

Also watching MS 8th Team AMV's for the same reason. Lai Dame was kinda like that.

I... Guess it's nerdy... Hrm.

But by Koei Filter I mean do to it what Koei did to Three-Kingdoms China. Take the famous people, turn them into Large Ham Badass One-Man Army Flanderized versions of themselves, either weilding exhaggerated versions of their historical signiture weapons (Mosby with rapid fire duel machinepistols, perhaps) or rediculousl and fictional ones based on their life (Shernan with a flamethrower tank turret for an arm, anyone?). Then make them mow through hordes of mooks, fight on the front lines as the main assault, directly duel each other, and make it a World of Badass and World of Ham... Then you're close.

Put it Up To Eleven and you have Sengoku Basara.

Who knows. I would, definitely.

As an RP... Hmm. It would be difficult to do well, I guess... sad

It would definitely make an awesome video game.

[up][up][up] I watched 08th Team because it was Romeo and Juliet in 'Nam with Giant Robots. [Chicks dig Giant Robots].

[up][up] It would be difficult. For all my history geekiness, I wouldn't feel confident playing a general from WWII, let alone Civil War. Non-history geeks would be completely lost.

Bummer. Oh well. Someday.

Hydrall is probably the only one who wouldn't be a general.

I'd consider joining. I'd just be very worried about derailing people.

I'd probably be General Ulysses S. Grant.

I'm torn betweeen wanting to be George Thomas or Robert E Lee.

Why does everyone focus on the drunk thing?

I know five things about Grant: He was afraid of blood, he broke down at his daughter's wedding, an unrepentant Alcoholic, a Union General, and eventually became a mediocre President.

Which one of those qualities would you choose to focus on?

I guess it's my fault James got misunderstood by making such an ambiguous statement. His implication was that he felt obligated to rescue her irregardless of the consequences.
