Well, that was...strange. I guess having a Clip Show be a BLAM Episode is justified. This is what, the third or fourth time we've seen the human transmutation scene? And yet it somehow still manages to be a Tear Jerker.
I like the new OP and ED.

I guess it is.Yeah, and there's an original Crowning Moment Of Heartwarming at the end. I nearly cried when I realized the little girl was Trisha.
Soundtrack's out! More music of awesome to the pile, namely Trisha's Lullabye
and Fifth Laboratory
.
Just got my hands on the soundtrack as well. Pretty awesome if I may say so myself. I'm in love with Lapis Philosophorum
Ominous Latin Chanting galore!
Watching the broadcast dub of the first anime while waiting for the next episode stream. Vocal Evolution FTW!

Heh, Pinako was quite the spunky gal in her youth. And a Bottle Fairy to boot, looks like.
Also, I never realized how great Rose's voice actor was until now.
That be Lt. Hawkeye and our beloved Luffy, Colleen Clinkenbeard. Rose being a total woobie is certainly going to help her when they eventually dub Brotherhood episode 30 (the Ishval War flashback).
EDIT: Still no image songs Listening to Al's half of the songs now, and while I was looking I ran into the next two that will be released, Ling and Lan Fan.
They'll be released December 9. Calling Roy/Hughes (or Riza) and Scar/May pairups in the future.
And episode 28 was awesome. I think Ed broke May though, poor thing.

Also, I have to say that Father is...weird. Not how I expected the Big Bad of a series like this to be, at all.
I guess it is.Indeed. IMO, this episode goes in the favorites pile.
And here's the Al solo
and duet with Ed
. For some reason, Ed's songs haven't been uploaded to the net...but the Elric Bros duet (and the K-On songs that were recently released) will hold me over for quite a while~

I'd just like to note the parallels between King Bradley and Ling. Both are born to be leaders, both become homunculi, and most interestingly both are the 12th. King was the 12th subject of the experiment and Ling is the 12th prince. Now, that itself is very meaningless, but the recurring number is obviously supposed to make us connect them, narratively.
Of course, their similarities only exist to emphasize their differences, which have been made fairly clear in an earlier episode when they were arguing about what it means to be a leader. King embodies Wrath, which in this series is portrayed as violent ruthlessness and efficiency at the expense of compassion (ignore the actual meaning of wrath). He's kind to what he has, but throws things away without a second thought when he needs to.
Ling on the other hand embodies Greed, which is shown in this series to be a very protective and compassionate sin. A leader sacrificing his followers is unacceptable, in the sense that Greed requires everything to stay within its possession. Greed is almost a kind of all-encompassing compassion, since it takes everything to be its own and therefore equally important.

There's a bunch of music stuff supposed to be released today (opening 3, OST), including image songs for Ed and Al (please give us an Elric bros duet...), so I'll post those when I find them. Hm...10.14...wasn't that the date they burned their home in the first anime (I remember it was changed by a few days)?
