^^I APPROVE.
Also, do you have to be a member on the wiki or can I just start editing it?
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI just had an idea. Why not make the Espada start without their releases? To make them credible threats, we make them fight at their Shikai level without their releases. That way, the drama is actually present when they do learn their release.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialInstead of Hollows named after tropers, why not use Bounts? They're a natural fit for an Urban Fantasy story. Of course, there would be some important differences from anime canon:
- None of the merging-with-your-Doll thing Kariya does. It's too much like Bankai.
- I'm not necessarily saying these Bounts should have the same names/powers as the anime ones, but if they do, we should cut some of them; there are too many Bounts.
- Not a big issue since most of this is taking place in Karakura Town, but they shouldn't regenerate in Soul Society.
- Instead of being created by Soul Society's experiments, they should just be vampires.
^^/^^^ I'm a little wary of that to be honest.
^ Seems a bit to obscure, to be honest.
And if we're going for the whole culturally divise thing we have to decide which captain would be what. Byakuya is obviously a Japanese samurai, what with the flower petal theme.

You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.I think after any potential SS arc, that if you want to get away from those characters, that there's potential for the Vizard arc to take place, and simply be expanded.
The Vizards would only have held a passing interest in Karakura Town, per say, until they realized that the SS was invading it, so there must be something, or someone, of interest there, since the SS doesn't mobilize on a dime.
And that in and of itself could be a good chance to set up a little bit of a Living with the Villain plot, that was just barely teased at in the main continuity: consider it, a bunch of new students transfer into the high school, and start trying to get chummy with the group. We know they're Vizards, the group doesn't.
And hell, their abilities play right into that as well. Let's imagine that they always, always attack the group while masked, not only for the power increase, but also to hide their identities. And so battles that the Vizards could have won will end up being draws when they have to run because their masks are on the verge of breaking and they don't want to tip their hand. Until one fight one of them doesn't get away in time and "surprise!" isn't that one of the new transfer students?
I think we can just suspend our disbelief about the names. Changing the character's names would sabotage their recognizability; and make them that make closer to being entirely different characters from their Canon counterparts.
Also, I feel that because of buddist feel of his shikai, Mayuri should be oriental.
^^This has potential. I like it.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI like your idea Grahf, but not immediately after the SS arc.
And for some reason I can't unsee Hitsugaya as a crusader knight. Him or Kenpachi. And do the Chinese have their own thing we could use? We could have Mayuri be that.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.Considering the number of captains we've established (see my longest post on page 4), 1 per continent sounds appropriate. How's this for a split:
- Byakuya - Asia
- Aizen, then Kenpachi - North America
- Unohana, then Yoruichi - Africa
- Gin, then Soi Fon - South America
- Mayuri - Europe
- Hitsu GA Ya - Australia & Antarctica
- Has to pick up Europe as well when Mayuri defects
Captain Commander (Yamamoto, then Unohana) - No continent
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYou're not forgetting much. This also needs to be done. Also, the fact that Ichigo's been leading a double life needs to be exploited for more. It barely had any impact at all.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI was thinking because it's funny when he's overworked, plus, we don't have to see him as much. Maybe a "dump the load on the Scrappy thing?"
Also, they'd mentioned in the regular series that he picked up the slack when Aizen "died".
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'd suggested that Urahara reluctantly supplies them, but doesn't formally resume his post.
That is, are we still sticking with the Vizard having the same creation story they did? I'm not against it.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyHow about SkullDance Overtime?

Also, quick idea: Possibly have a mini arc with Gamma Akutabi and C.T. Smith as rival paranormal detectives for Ichigo and crew to deal with. Something about Gamma and Smith not liking them horning in on their territory. Just as a little shout out to Kubo's earlier work.
