I just had to cave in to the 75% daily deal for Dungeon Defenders.

Dammit Steam, why do you have to be so tempting? tongue

I'm just looking at the front page for the sale and it is...complex.

Also, I think my internet is slow for some reason.

Edit: No, it's the Steam site that's slow.

The Steam servers always get like this first day of sale, don't worry. They should've learned by now.

So what was I supposed to get as a gift for checking my inventory? Did it matter that I already had 50 TF 2 items?

Also, this was rather amusing: I saw Lightfish, I thought it was like Electroplankton, and it turns out to be a revamped classic cell phone game instead.

One of my siblings can't be in the event, because he's yet to buy anything on his account. Sad.

One of my other siblings got a coupon.

Me? Portal 2.

Question is: Which account should I attach it too? One of the annoying things about Steam is that even if you install a game onto a computer, only the account that bought it can play it. Therefore, I hadn't have the chance to play Portal because the wrong sibling used the promo code.

Portal 2 under ten dollars? Hell yes.

My computer probably can't play it, it's even money whether I'll get a computer that can or an xbox first, but I am pouncing on this.

So wait sa minute, to get something, do you have to have something bought in TF 2 or in all of Steam? Because I only qualify for the latter and I haven't gotten anything.

You have to have bought anithyng on steam or buyed an item through a micro-transaction(TF 2, Portal 2 items) and go to the great holiday gift pile to receive something.

Well, winter sale is over now, and over the weekend, it's going to be Age of Empires III.

...

Huh?

I'm guessing this is a quiet admission of defeat by Microsoft, particularly its GFWL service...

Portal 2 is under a 50% discount ($7.49) to celebrate being a BAFTA winner. Total War Shogun 2 has a 75% discount ($7.50). This two will be in discount until Thursday.

I picked up Portal 2 during the holiday sale. I downloaded it, but there's no way I'm gonna be able to play it on this machine.

So any Wild Mass Guessing as to what the upcoming sale would be like (likely going to be this coming Thursday, given that the past two summer sales started on a last Thursday of June)?

And to those who missed the deal as per last post, the whole Deus Ex franchise is up for sale over the weekend.

I think the sales will start either next week or the other one. Prepare your wallets!

I want to see what event they do for this sale.

Picked up the cube puzzle pack. Most of them are really short, but worth $10 between them.

It's kind of ironic that despite normally being the most expensive in the pack, QUBE is the shortest and buggiest by far.

[up][up] Speaking of cubes, there is a curious, under-the-radar sale of Cubemen which has been on for a few days now, and closes on the 28th. I'm guessing that's a bit of a teaser for the sale starting at that time.

That and Meet the Pyro being released on Monday could really help with the theory of a major sale starting on the 28th.
