Just got Knights Of The Old Republic for $2.50. Man I love those sales.
Steam is the freakin' best. I got Mass Effect, TF2, and Border Lands each for 10 dollars. Hell, most of my games are from discount sales, and I have like 40+.
Meanwhile, my PS 3 stands next to my PC, mostly neglected, unless I wanna play a bit of Killzone 2...

Picked up Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 earlier in the week for about 14 dollars total. I'd have to spend about 100 to get them in stores.
Life is glorious.
Against all tyrants.I think there's typically a weekend sale every weekend and a midweek sale every midweek.
There's a really big sale during the holidays, and there may be other big sales during the other holidays.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here. The Steam platform in general is awesome. It's a great way to discover games to drain my wallet and melt my computer that I never would have known about otherwise.
Fresh-eyed movie blogHalloween sale at this weekend. Not as big as this past summer though, nor would it be as big as the holiday sale (which I am saving for). In case anyone missed the last Left 4 Dead bundle sale, it's back right now.
Other titles featured include: Amnesia The Dark Descent, Bioshock, Ghostbusters: The Game and Plants Vs Zombies to name a few.

I really don't have the hard drive space for L 4 D, but that sale is making me want it so.... bad....
"Weird doors open. People fall into things."There's now a Thanksgiving sale out there. Still likely savin' to the holidays, but this will go near all week, and they also include gifting bundles, including:
- 10 gifting copies of Half-Life 2 for $20.
- 8 gifting copies of Deus Ex for $12
- 6 gifting copies of Borderlands for $40. (though it looks like the DLCs aren't part of it this time)
- 6 gifting copies of R. U. S. E. for $150
EDIT: Oh! Forgot to mention that every day for this week, 30 users shall receive the top 5 games on their wishlist.

Yesterday I got Alpha Protocol for just $12.50. Score!
Today, I was a cheap bastard and get Recettear for $5. Along with 4 other games I don't really care about. I feel vaguely guilty about that (I'd have been quite happy to buy the game alone with a 25% or 50% discount) but nobody put a gun to the head of Carpe Fulgur and demanded they do something so bloody stupid.
Oh yes, Recettear for five euros. And Yet It Moves isn't bad either. It's basically a better (if not somewhat harder) version of the Gravity Duck-type games. Hell, even if I don't feel like puzzles, I can still strut about like I'm David Bowie in the climax of Labyrinth and that's something. Haven't gotten around to checking the other games in the bundle yet.
Liveblog | DeadblogAnything that allows me to pretend I am David Bowie can't be too bad.

Well, not just on Steam, but they are pretty big. Like that past summer sale for instance.
