Azuki will decide that because of the state her career is in, she will forgo her role in Reversi, and hand it over to Kitami
Hello everyone, pleased to meet you. I'm new in this thread, so please be lenient towards me and my circumstances: I'm in your care now.
That said...
I LOVE THE RECENT DEVELOPMENTS! This is so awesome and dramatic and cute and I just want to hug everyone.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Really, after this, I really don't know where you can go with Azuki's character, and Ashirogi. If it goes back to Status Quo, with them missing out on Azuki getting in, Azuki will become a total Living MacGuffin. And really, if that happens, I may seriously drop the series.
They shouldn't dare.

I can't decide if that's just as bad or worse. It'll be like they're dicking around with the story and that's gonna be just as uncool.
Watch her genuinely fail the audition after all that.
I call bullshit if that happens, because it will feel like a complete Ass Pull, and could have been done without the previous arc. I prefer that this arc will tie up Mashiro and Azuki's relationship plot. The series could work from there, with Azuki becoming more of a regular character, hell, maybe even have an in-universe "Well now what?" from Mashiro, and the final arc being the resolution of Ashirogi and Nizuma's rivalry.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Now that the story has gone mainstream even Satan himself wouldn't turn her down for that part. Publicity for the show, fear of fan backlash, fear of media backlash, internal desire to not be a huge dick... For all that, "talent alone" talk sounding nice, she could go in there with a cold and laryngitis, cough, wheeze, and rasp her way through the audition, and still get the part.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.![]()
This. So much this and agreed.
And as long as they don't rely on using another nonesense with Nanamine, everything's gonna be fine from here. The story doesn't need an eyesore like him at this point, even as an excuse to stretch out the story. The resolution should be exactly as he said and that Azuki should have more regular appearances from here.

New chapter out.
...
So, I'm reminded that if people in fiction did the sensible thing, it would be be boring. Probably more Drama Ball than Idiot Ball really, but... Gah!
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Considering the cercomstances, I have to agree with the producer on this one. By having open aditions, you mitigate the number of people who will be calling to complain about who gets the part. Once people know that it was the public's decision and she is not getting the part because of her connections, most will accept the result.
What Jump should do is give Reversi a color page or two anouncing the part casting. That is likely to get more people to vote and a significaint number of those people would be mostly-impartial to the people auditioning (not everyone who reads manga watches anime).
Not much for "in univerce reactions" from this chapter (because it is not pubicly anounced yet), but I am looking forward to the reactions after the next chapter.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!I would agree if not for the fact that the most likely voters are going to be 2chan trolls. If, as mentioned, they can give it a lot of mainstream publicity to dilute the fat bitchy otaku vote, then I can see it.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise......Well, that's rather needlessly dramatic. Oh well, we might be getting some good scenes out of it.
I pray to the gods of Fiction that this will be the Grand Finale, though.
I have a feeling it may not be the Grand Finale that we'd like it to be. I don't know why.

...well, it's accurate. :|
