You sicko. (Cold, flu, and general illness comiseration thread)

I don’t know if this really counts, but this here article summarizes me right about now. x_x

I threw up a couple days ago for the first time in a while. Not cuz of any sort of real illness, but cuz of (I shouldn't be ashamed to say it) very bad menstruation cramps. I always get a lot of bullshit on the first day and then the rest of the week is just whatever, but I rarely get so uncomfortable that I throw up. Last time that happened, I was in school, so at least this was an improvement over that scenario.

My mom made me tea and that helped though. Even though I don't like the taste of tea, I liked the warmth.

I hope it's not a sign of anything serious, but today was the second day in a row that I got a headache from out of nowhere, even though I've been drinking plenty of water to help keep things regulated. :S Ironically, today is also the second day in a row where I have not been at the very place that gives me headaches.

I've been having on-and-off headaches for the past few weeks.

This post is more about preventing illnesses than having them. I’m thinking of trying the cherry juice trick again.

I remember a friend of mine once telling me that if you have a small glass of cherry juice before bed, you’ll fall asleep more easily and more deeply.

Been inactive for a reaaallly long time, and no I'm not dead just left for about a bunch of months due to boredom, but lemme update my situation with two words: I'm Fine!

Yeah, I know this is somewhat a long response, but I had to deal with other stuff like RYM and Discord. I just really didn't had much time for this site now...

But, since I've now conquered approx. two sore throats in the last 5 months, I guess this is somewhat an achievement for me, gotta celebrate something while you're stuck at home for a while...

I don't know if this counts but I got my first dose of COVID vaccine a couple days ago and the side effects are really putting me under the weather. The night I got it I got a really nauseating stomach feeling, and when I woke up the next day, I wasn't very hungry and ate almost nothing the entire day. I was also feeling lazy and didn't want to move around a lot.

I'm feeling more alright today though, just that my arm is still sore, but I read it's normal for it to still be after a couple days.

Oh yeah, the second dose was terrible for me. I was out like a light, sore all over my freaking body.

Actually, this week I thought I had COVID before it turned out to just be nasopharyngitis.

Why did I have to have forty people without masks at my house?!

I might be developing a cold.

Aw geez, today is the third day in a row where I’ve woken up with my throat feeling dry. x_x Either I do indeed have sleep apnea or the air in my bedroom is drying up, even though it’s still summer and humid. :S

I might have caught a cold.

I'm not sick, but my dog Cassie is... and you know what the worst part is? Whenever she gets sick, it's always poop! Why can't it be throwing up for a change, because I know that's also gross, but at least it doesn't... urgh... stick on her body!

I am ill. And my throat hurts.

Aw nuts. I got a new furnace filter installed yesterday, and I’m having allergies in my own house again. -talks like Roy O’Bannon- Aw man, this state blows. x_x :(

Looks like school food has reminded me that I might have a mild chicken allergy, since eating a lot of chicken for consecutive days tends to make me itchy all over. Kinda sucks cuz I love chicken . But I brought biscuits as a lunch alternative in case today's lunch has chicken again.

Edit: YEP IT'S CHICKEN AGAIN. And a nice-ass looking curry too hmm. Ah well.

Woke up with a 100° (Fahrenheit, not Celsius) fever. Sitting in bed and sipping some tea as I type this. Ugh.

Hopefully it's not Covid, regardless of the fact that I'm vaccinated.

Test results came back negative for Covid and the flu, so it seems like I had a cold. All done.

I tested positive for the covid yesterday! I’ve had worse diseases based on what I’ve been feeling the last few days.

Still feeling miserable like all sicknesses are.

I wish you a quick and painless recovery.

It hasn’t been quick (8th day since suspected symptoms, 5th since it started growing consistent) but fortunately there hasn’t been a lot of pain.

That said, I’m getting sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I’m wondering if I’m beginning to get through this after all. The last two days felt horrible like I was three meters thick and a literal ton heavy plus constant temperature swings and almost constant coughing, sometimes to the point it would make me gag and throw up.

Today has greatly reduced fatigue and heavyness, I have relative temperature stability and I’ve brought the cough under control for now.

Too bad everything has weird and conflicting taste when trying to eat or drink. Nothing tastes well and truly good even water.
