It's getting to be that time of the year again! Nothing like a bad case of the sniffles to put you in that autumnal spirit!

I've got a runny/stuffy nose and a sore throat to match. I woke up this morning feeling unusually better about it than I had been, thinking, "Hey! Maybe it blew over already...!" Ha. As if. Being able to talk sure would be nice.

I hate the fact that I get a cold every year. Soon enough, allergies will kick in.

Gnnnnnrrrrrrhhhhhhh why am I getting sick nooooow. I'm supposed to be working – no, super-working! I most decidedly did not ask for sickness! This is entirely inappropriate and I would like to file a formal complaint!

Also why the hell does being sick make me unwilling to drink when that's the one time where I really need to drink as excessively much as I normally do, GOD.

Been struck by the Flu. Despite having the shot. Been sick since last Tuesday, so that makes it... seven days now? I'm getting better, maybe I'll wake up tomorrow morning all chipper and - no, wait. I'm over thirty, I haven't woken up chipper in years.

I was in the attic yesterday and got insulation in my respiratory system. Not fiberglass insulation but it feels like a sinus infection with a sore throat and slight congestion the next day. I want it to be gone.

I had a "fun" time a couple of ddays ago when I had to take care of my sister because she had the flu. She couldn't finish the cinnamon roll I'd bought for her, so I thought "eh, what's the harm?" and ate the rest of it myself. Then I washed it down with what was left of her hot coa coa, since she couldn't finish that, either. I think I might just be Too Dumb to Live.

As I've mentioned a few times in TU, I had a llump on my neck, and it was operated last tuesday. I got the stitches out today, but apparently the section is somewhat infected. I'm going to go see a doctor about it on friday.

Yeah, it was a cyst. The wikipedia article on it is laughably undetailed, but it's basicaly a benevolent tumor. There were also some dilated lymph nodes.

Basicaly, nothing lifethreatening, but not entirely nice stuff either.

That, and it was the only way to know what exactly was causing it.

That's, uh, a little self-defeating.

I'm glad to know the surgeons weren't total assholes anyway. I had to spend a year working for them, and I could tell you all sorts of stories about that.

I had a cyst on my back at one point, not painful just lumpish and I was glad when I had it removed.

I wouldn't say I'm sick right now (I have a cast-iron immune system, so when I'm sick it's usually with some horrific jungle virus that only puts me out of commission for a day or two), but I'm getting some pretty awful seasonal allergies. Somehow that's even worse, since I feel like crap but I have no excuse to just stay in bed and sleep it off.

Still feeling the Flu. Day nine so far.

Unrelated: I think my right rotator cuff is acting up and it throbs constantly. Occasionally, my right hand will tingle or feel a bit numb.

@pvtnum: Have you tried using a paraffin bath? Sometimes that'll happen due to inflammation or overuse of the tendons in your arms, so I think heat and light pressure are the best at-home treatments for that sort of thing.

Dirty laundry + not-entirely-efficient dryer machine = still-damp clothing. Charlatan + still-damp clothing + cold outdoor weather = HEB CODE YAY.

Fortunately some vigorous racquetball today seems to have boosted my immune system.

There is a fair chance that this one caught cold today. Temperature drop from 0/-1 to -22 in two days is not nice, at all. Add to it strong wind and no snow at all. Anyway, it did not feel cold when I've left for class, so I've forgot to take gloves. Regretted it bitterly when time to go home came. Dammit. When I called home and, for a few seconds, my fingers simply could...not...push...the phone button, it was somewhat scary. And now I've got headache and first signs of sore throat. If I won't get a fully-blooming cold tomorrow morning, it would be a miracle.

I got a nasty electric shock to my arm today while I was installing some computers in the Registrar's office. It hurts massively, but I don't I'm going to the doctor unless things become worse.

My head is POUNDING right now. I had to miss auditions for the One-Act plays. And my throat has been sore all week. I really hope I'm not getting sick...
