Which anime screenwriters do you consider to be the best in terms of writing female characters?
You can't kill art.great deal, but why do I have to download an app at all? I didn't download anything for SJ, so why can't I just upgrade my account or something?
Just finished the anime of Bocchi the Rock!. What an amazing anime, I went in with a high expectation and I wasn't disappointed!
Ironically enough, though, I found the anime's OP itself to be really generic and forgettable.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Bocchi the Rock is a masterpiece and I wonβt hear otherwise
I've heard some people argue about whether Bocchi the Rock or Hitori Bocchi is better, but I personally choose this Bochi.
Is Hand Shakers as boring as the title implies?
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. If you want the animation equivalent of motion sickness I'd say give it a watch.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysIt sounds like a pretty bad anime, but some have said it's fascinating in how bad it is, so...
Wake me up at your own risk.Hand Shakers has a terrible story but it's the animation that makes it memorably bad. The CG isn't even technically awful but it's the way it's used that makes it jarring. The camera swings around wildly, withe the combat sequences becoming straight up nauseating. Now combine that with B-grade generic anime art style and badly Photoshopped backgrounds.
A lot of Handshakers is animated on 3s, but different set of objects move on different frames. Absolutely bizarre
And here we have a trailer for a series following Initial D's steps, MF Ghost.
Wake me up at your own risk.cool, what's it about?

Self-driving cars are in widespread use in Japan, and public roadways are used for auto racing.
In such an era, a race called MFG has become popular around the globe.
Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini...
Participants are invited to race with their fastest cars.
One such participant, a British racing school graduate, Kanata Rivington, returns to Japan to achieve his goal.
Does someone familiar with Initial D want to detail how much of a sequel this is? Like, is it a direct continuation, picking up right where Initial D left off? Is it set in the same universe, but after a Time Skip and focusing on a new cast?
From our Initial D page : "Set in the same universe, it is a Sequel to Initial D, with Ryosuke Takahashi being the founder of the MFG League and describing it as the next step in Project D, while Takumi is the main character's teacher."
Was making a Shounen Watchlist on Ani DB and came across a few shows that caught my attention that I never heard of before: Busou Renkin, Law of Ueki, King of Bandit Jing, among others. Can't wait to watch them.
Kuso Miso Technique, the infamous yaoi manga known for its meme, has met it's Crowdfunding Goal to turn it into an all-age anime.

Watch SymphogearYou guys remember that Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki have a movie called How Do You Live? coming this July on the 14th?
Apparently the movie's producer, Toshio Suzuki, announced that Studio Ghibli won't publish any more images or a trailer or any advertisement for the movie before July 14th. So that close-up poster of (what appears to be) a weird bird? That's all we're getting until July 14th.
I'm of two minds about this, because most if not all the movies by Ghibli have been solid gold, so this might be no exception. But on the other hand, we don't even have a summary or character designs or literally anything to go on, so I'm a bit concerned that this act of guerrilla marketing might be a stumble for them.
> I'm of two minds about this, because most if not all the movies by Ghibli have been solid go
even Ponyo?
New theme music also a boxI personally enjoyed Ponyo. I like how it was essentially a Japanese take on The Little Mermaid.
In fact, I would love to see Ghibli do more takes on Western fairy tales, like Pinocchio for instance.

That's weird. I know Miyazaki's a grumpy old man set in his ways, but having literally no advertising whatsoever seems like a bit too big a risk. Then again, if any studio has a reputation that could let them get away with this, it's probably Ghibli.

Also found out there there was a 1966 comedy anime, Osomatsu-kun, went on to spawn over 200 episodes through multiple TV shows, and had 4 films, with a 5th film being released later in 2023. Might be the longest-ongoing, prominent anime franchise that I've seen.
