Oh boy, time for Soldier A. How come Viccy can never remember what anime he got the moment spur from...according to David Williams it was Najica Blitz Tactics.

Is it just me, or Ayako Kawasumi voicing Saber, despite it being one of her most famous roles, was Playing Against Type. Compared to other roles I've heard her voice in, such as Akari Kamigishi, Kaori Misaka, Ixpellia, Athena, Saber's pretty far from them.
My FF.net accountI'm now four episodes into Utena... and I'm starting to discern the formula. It's a fun one, though. Utena is an engaging protagonist, and I'm starting to warm up to Anthy.
I especially love the Once an Episode scenes where schoolgirl silhouettes comment on the plot in a delightfully over the top way. (One of them sounds like a lot like Mika Kanai, but the credits on ANN say it's someone else).
Clannad episode 2. Wow. Brass Restoration flashbacks with Tomoya (although I guess it's nowhere near as bad.). Also, what's wrong with Nagisa? Fainting like that...Man, the ending song sounds like it's going to be something I'm going to cry to later. Also, is that girl in white going to become relevant soon?
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay! Come to IJBM^ Re: Woman In White: You have no idea.
I like it how the next Visual Novel in the index after Brass Restoration is Clannad.

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay! Come to IJBMI probably should say about Utena, that while there are episode formulas, there are a number of different arcs, and they each have slightly - or not so slight in the later parts - formulas going on.
Also, the shadow girls are awesome. Pay attention to them - amid the crack, there's a lot of important thematic and character stuff.
In other news, I just finished the Ouran anime. The ending made me both cry (because I am soppy and cry over everything) and go d'aww. I love Nakama stuff.

And also completely awesome, right?

Just read ch. 49 of Change 123. It's pretty horrific. Motoko's mother was killed by a couple of girders launched by an out-of-control truck right in front of her, right after little 5-6 year-old Motoko wished she would die. *shudder*
Is there a trope for when a hero vanishes, but no-one knows where he is and his nakama are all worried because he might not be coming back/getting better? Heroic BSoD or 10-Minute Retirement doesn't seem strong enough when you're dealing with a Tomato in the Mirror.
Edit: Ah,found it. Death by Despair.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Nothing coming to mind at the moment, sorry.
Finally got out of that queue. Misoji Misaki
coming up!
Clannad episode 3. That little piggy is so cute.
A shame about the Theatre Club, though...And, oh, Sonohara, why don't you just give it up?

May have to check it out.
You should. It's shoujo that I think guys can appreciate. It comes with all the trapping of shoujo though: art style and pace.
My FF.net account

I tried making my voice pretty low once, probably at the level of Yuu Kobayashi 's voice when she does boy characters so I could do a fandub of Toki no Puzzle by Mitsuuru Asahina.
It turned out alright but I had a hard time controlling my Filipino accent.
