I thought Sleeping Beauty and The Sword in the Stone had the same style of opening credits. So I would get peeved (at first) when the movie we put in turned out to be the latter and not the former. ^_^;;
The Obsidian Destroyer is the best non-hero unit in WarCraft III.When I was little I learned that picking California poppies is illegal (I live in California). Sometime later, I went on a field trip, and somebodies lawn had a bunch of California poppies in it. I was terrified to go near it, as I thought if one went missing somehow (as if they count them every day) they would think I picked it and I would go to jail.
For the longest time, I thought the song was called “Bear Necessities.” ^_^;;
The Obsidian Destroyer is the best non-hero unit in WarCraft III.I used to assume that much like how English-language TV Shows and Movies were dubbed into other languages for other countries, English-language music albums were recorded with vocals of whatever (non-English speaking) language other countries spoke (though some artists HAVE done that, but it's not frequent).
Another Disney one. For a long while, I thought the hyena that Whoopi Goldberg lent her voice to was also a boy. ^_^;;
The Obsidian Destroyer is the best non-hero unit in WarCraft III.I just remembered this one. For a while when I was a kid, I thought “adorable” and “durable” meant the same thing. ^_^;;
The Obsidian Destroyer is the best non-hero unit in WarCraft III.2 similar ones I thought I'd put in the same post:
Some kid told me that if you prank call the FBI, they will send some kind of electric charge that will blow up your phone. I have no idea if he really believed this or not (I'm guessing his parents told him this so he wouldn't prank call people) but I believed it for a long time.
Around 5th grade some kid asked me if I like slugs. I said something like "they're ok" and he said "ya, they're cool amphibians, huh?" Even then, I knew this was incorrect, but didn't know if he was trying to trick me or actually believed this, so I just didn't respond.

x6 I thought that too. And when Timon proposed to Shenzi in The Lion King 1 ½, I thought it was a gay joke and I didn't even know the word "gay".
I also thought Dory from Finding Nemo was a boy.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.Some cartoon (maybe Inspector Gadget?) had a gag where a character had to jump into a kiddie pool from his roof and said something about how at least he'd have a safe landing because they didn't have hard water. This was the first time I heard that term and for a while I did think "hard water" was literally harder than normal water, rather than water with high mineral content.
On the subject of Finding Nemo, for the longest time as a kid I thought his name was Memo.
I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.I used to believe when I was 7 that Hava Nagila was an Indian song.

That's funny, you could post that on I Read That As.
I used to think when people join law enforcement, they get their car painted and turned into a police car.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.I once thought that "Raise a Little Hell" was by The Eagles and that "The Kid is Hot Tonite" was by The Rolling Stones (or "The Stones"; back then, I didn’t know if there was a difference or not). This was because of radio announcers making mistakes.

I thought that real-life foreign languages worked like cypher languages, and all you had to do to translate something was find the correct "decoder sheet" and translate each letter.
