By popular demand. And because seriously, what the FUCK.
... What?

What/Who decides whether there are too many spoilers to merit marking them?
That is probably The Legend of the Piko Piko Middle Schoolers. It's a gag manga where the angels are coming, so the pilots have to play video games in order to train due to the Evas are not ready yet. It is five volumes long, but Dark Horse Comics only released the first two volumes. I think both this manga and the pachinko manga seem to be the only official mangas to not receive full localizations. And maybe the Petite Eva mangas as well.

An Evangelion spin-off manga where EVA is just a franchise and the main character is an office lady who's a major fan girl (and cosplayer!) of said franchise and a lot of the people she knows uncannily resemble EVA characters?
Suffice to say, this is my first time finding out too.
OK, thanks to Amita, I have a good list of trope entries for Kotone Suzunami
's profile entry.
- In-Universe Nickname: Asuka nicknames her Chameleon, mostly because the redhead, true to form since Girlfriend of Steel, catches on immediately to the fact that Kotone is spying on them (albeit unintentionally).
- Naïve Newcomer: She's rather naive, suspecting but not quite realizing that Gendo is using her to spy on the others.
- New Meat: She's a rookie Eva pilot that NERV recently hired from an orphanage.
- Parental Abandonment: Kotone never met either of her parents, though she believes that they're alive and hopes that she'll be able to find them during the course of her duties.
- Plucky Girl: Her sync ratio is really bad, but she keeps trying because she wants to be accepted by the others as a peer, rather than be a burden slowing the others down.
- Shrinking Violet: She's not very confident, and gets submissive very quickly when Asuka displays her usual attitude.
The only thing I can't find a suitable trope for is her online streaming career. Anyone got ideas? I'm not sure if "singing and performing original dance choreography" and being called in-universe an "internet idol" is enough to qualify for Idol Singer.
I'm also open for suggestions on what to write in her description.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. So, I've just discovered that Mirage Entertainment (which distributes the Korean release of NGE) was unable to secure the requisite rights for "Fly Me to the Moon" in their upcoming Blu-ray release
.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. This most recent batch of edits
to the Children's character page doesn't seem right; thoughts?
For the English translations, we use the more recent ones like Netflix, etc.
I don't think the removal of Ms. Fanservice looks right. Maybe we can report it to ATT?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Another one of the edits is the removal of the Spell My Name With An S trope in regards to how Asuka's last name can be translated. Also, based off of the episode summaries on Netflix, "Toji" is used instead of "Touji" for that particular dub. It might be best to take it to ATT.

I've gone ahead and started the ATT query
. I suppose discussion can continue there.
Found this joke on Twitter(the original was deleted)
. Translation:
Rei: "Hi! Ikari-kun. Since you are having such a hard life, I'm going to balance it out. I'll give you 100 million yen, but whoever you hate the most will get 10 billion yen. Do you want to take this deal?
Shinji: (To himself) 'Someone like me doesn't need 100 million yen. But if someone gets 10 billion because of me...Probably my father is going to get the money'
Shinji: (To Rei) "I'll take it."
Shinji Ikari gets 10.1 billion yen.
Shinji: "What should I do with 10.1 billion yen."
Rei: "Let's start with therapy. I didn't know it was this bad"
Part 2.
Rei: (To Asuka) Since you are having such a hard life, I'm going to balance it out. I'll give you 100 million yen, but whoever you hate the most will get 10 billion yen. Do you want to take this deal?
Asuka: "You're the person I hate the most, moron! You want the money? You think watashi needs the money? Fine!! Get 10 billion yen and get lost!!
Asuka gets 10.1 billion yen as well.
Shinji and Asuka are sitting in the waiting room for the psychologist.
Shinji: "Are you here for therapy too?"
Asuka: "Shut up! You think I'm the same as you?"
Asuka: (To herself) 'I'm an equal to idiot Shinji...'

"Enshittification truly is how platforms die"-Cory DoctorowSo true.
Also, the ATT topic died off quickly. We need to make a decision quickly, before the iron gets too cold.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. The Italian dialogue for Rebuild was produced by Ad Libitum and the supervisor was Carlo Cavazzoni. Fabrizio Mazzotta is still the ADR director.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. And the translator who replaced him for the second Italian dub for Netflix was Laura Cosenza.
Of note, the Italian Netflix release was one of Roberto Draghetti's final dubbing credits before his death in 2020 and Oliviero Dinelli was the only one to come back as Fuyutsuki.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Speaking of dubs, Anime Limited announced
a massive Blu-ray set for the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series dubbed the "Ultimate Edition".
- Features all 26 episodes, plus the movies Evangelion: Death (True)2 and The End of Evangelion.
- Reproduced in 1080p Blu-ray.
- Also included:
- A 156-page book including promotional posters and artwork
- Glossary of Angels and EVA units
- Timeline
- Credit lists
- Surveys of the 26 TV episodes
- Eleven double-sided 12x12" art boards featuring replications of the artwork from the Japanese LaserDisc release (EVA was on LaserDisc? Woof.)
- A limited edition resin paperweight modeled on Sachiel, the 3rd Angel (and the first angel featured in the series)
- A double-sided guest ID Card featuring the NERV logo and a 450mm lanyard with the Magi System's "EMERGENCY" indicators
- The "Video format version" of The End of Evangelion
- Japanese Voice Auditions
- Genesis 0:0 In the Beginning
- An Image Board Collection
- Animatics for episodes 9, 15, and 18 to 26
- Genesis 0:0' The Light from the Darkness
- A deleted live-action scene
- A "final scene alternate take" for The End of Evangelion
- Music videos
- Good news, this set will feature both of the English dubs, the Netflix one (aka the "Official Dub") and the ADV dub that everyone actually likes (aka the "Classic Dub").
- Bad news, it will not include any renditions of "Fly Me to the Moon". Sorry. (Either legal shenanigans are still in play or someone wants to play the petty card.)
- Worse news, this is only for UK and Ireland.
So on the one hand, yay ADV dub, boo no "FMTTM", and double boo only for UK and Ireland. (But I suspect GKIDS will cook up a similar set in the near future...)
Edited by TargetmasterJoe on Aug 19th 2021 at 8:28:22 AM
The GKIDS set in North America includes those features as well.
