I thought it was the "Bannikberg Regiment" was just a name and we were technically a Flight or else included everyone on the Castellan.

No I'm putting my foot down! A Centauri regiment means a group of five to twelve, and a Confenderacy means exactly whatever the Centauri would be defined as. :D

Centauri Knight regiments include a large number of normal troops for backup (750-1000), this means serving in a knight regiment is a mixed blessing, as when you are chosen for combat, you are liekly to die, but there is a much lower chance.

@Fusion: I think you have a severe misunderstanding of how our mechanics work. If your Armor is light-class, you get four actions, period. Hypothetically you could stick as many armaments as you want on there and it still would not slow you down.

If you're that focused on speed, you could have your frame modified to ultra-light class, for 25% less armor (100%) total, it is also a better idea to have more weapons, or at least a melee option as I am trying to take range into consideration (note to self, have a standing board for positions, as I am a visual person.)

I love you too Neo.

A Knight Regiment's Knights tend to number around ten plus the troops lockon mentioned. Even now when Knights tend to operate outside the confines of leading large groups of soldiers they are still refered to regiments.

Yeah, I'll say you're in.

You can join once we get to our next mission, which is back in Lambdadelta, so you can be one of the local Knights who Either Lady Zalez or Alexei decides to recruit.

It's open in the same way as China- kinda sorta maybe. Selective basis, that sort of thing.

So yes, it is indeed still open.

Whatcha got?

@ Fusion: I don't know whether to take that as a compliment or an insult 3:

Okay lets try this, I haven't formatted it like I have some other character profiles, but eh, short on time.

  • Pilot Name: Jurriaan Gerlach
  • Callsign/Title: Phoenix
  • Side: Centauri
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 41
  • Appearance: Fit, but a bit overweight, Jurriaan is a good picture of the term 'aging gracefully'. His hair is starting to grey but is still thick, and his face has the wrinkles of a combat vet, not those of old age. He dresses well for any occasion, feeling that how one presents themselves truly is a good indicator of overall character.
  • Personality: Jurriaan strives to be the exemplar of Knighthood in everything he does, to the point even some other Knights would call him stuffy. He always seems formal, dignified, like he's constantly watched by superiors or the Emperor himself. That said, he really loosens up in battle, keeping pace with and acting like those half his age. He particularly enjoys duels, or 'dances' as he calls them in the maneuver-heavy battles some suits are adapted to, and during such will commonly banter back and forth with the opposing pilot should he be able to make a comms connection. He holds a lot of respect for certain Federation aces, and across the battlefield is more friendly with them than some people he could honestly call friends. But if you are his friend, you can count on a truly supportive ally, where some Knights may fight for personal glory Jurriaan is willing to drop everything to help a teammate, and revels in their success as much as his own. But after the fact... back to stuffy Jurriaan once again.
  • Backstory or other information: Jurriaan is an older knight, his lack of drive for personal glory meant he was commonly passed up for promotions, thus is not as advanced as he could be in his position. But he is nonetheless a combat veteran and not someone to take lightly, he has a head for both dueling and battlefield tactics, and with his focus on one-on-one combat and considering the roles a Thunderstruck usually plays, he has an excellent sense as to battlefield opportunities. This means he is in good graces with a lot of Knights his senior, as he has served on the battlefields with them and covered their back many a time, even before they were his level. May be seen as a sort of father figure by some of the younger ones. He does not go into much of his pre-military history, he insists it does not matter, how you handle yourself in the present and your martial conduct is what matters the most.

  • Frame Model: SF-TS2B Thunderstroke
  • Armaments:
    • 2x Heavy Autocannon
    • 4x Light Laser Gatling
    • Claws at the end of arms and legs
  • Appearance:
    • Primary armament consists of two large projectile cannons mounted in the elongated torso. Can fire scattershot or slug rounds.
    • No handheld weapons, the gatlings are mounded in bulky forearm shrouds. The hands are replaced by claws.
    • Thunderstrokes have digitigrade legs, also ending in powerful claws.
    • Matching the lengthened torso, the Thunderstrokes have an elongated, non-humanoid head (imagine a head similar to the sensor-studded constructs in Armored Core or Heavy Gear), which houses additional sensors and communications gear.
  • Size: Medium
  • Upgrades/Customization: N/A
  • Other Notes: the Thunderstroke can go into a low-power mode to reduce it's electrical and thermal signature, this is one of the main reasons why it uses explosive-propelled ammunition instead of mass drivers as a principle weapon.

Uhhhhhhhhh....

Wow. I am really gonna have quite the time reading all this.

It doesn't seem the frame is attached to one of the existing manufacturers, but that's just one thing.

Hold on.

Okay, personality is great.

As for the frame....

We have a saying here, okay we don't but we should, keep it simple.

We don't go into much more detail than what weapons it has, what class its armor is, and what customization there is.

That is it, there's no more. We don't care how or why it works, it just does.

Please make it so the GM (me) can get a grasp on the absolute basics of the frame.

One problem- You have a CRAPLOAD of weapons. You'll only get (from the way I'm reading this) 3 AP a turn, since you're a Medium Frame. Plus, where would all those weapons fit?

Just a question, though- What weapons does this changed version actually have? If it has all the listed, plus the coilgun halberd, you'll never use them all.

[up][up] What he said.

Bio reformatted. Halberd removed.

Yeah, I saw somewhere 'the more the better' posted in terms of weaponry, so I thought I'd throw it all on XD.

That being said, the forearm-mounted weaponry is very small, the laser gatlings are something that can easily be carried by power armor and the rockets need to fire in clusters to be effective. Normally they would be fire-linked together and used at once for best effectiveness.

Eh?

Where did we say that?

@Hydrall: It looks fine to me, it's just that everything seems to be built into the body, that cannot be good for aiming.
