Tbh the English scriptwriters could've just changed Peashy's name to Turbo (or Turba?) because at least people would stop mistaking her as an Anthropomorphic Personification of PC gaming, rather than an obscure console that didn't do so well outside Japan. That, and me being both discomforted and perplexed at Yellow Heart's design.
Yeah. Plus it doesn't make sense if you put it in a real life context: the
CPUs breast sizes are represented through the consoles processing power, or MHz. The higher the processor is, the bigger the CPU's breasts are. With Peashy, her console's processor is a whopping 7.6 (for the original PC Engine), and a 7.16 for the TurboGrafx-16. Compare that to the OG Xbox, the console Ultra Vert represents, which has 733 MHz.
Even going by the dimensions of the console (14 cm × 14 cm × 3.8 cm, or 5.5 in × 5.5 in × 1.5 in), it's still beaten out by the much bigger PlayStationnote , Xboxnote , Sega Genesisnote , the NESnote , and even the 7th Gen PS3note , Xbox 360note , and Wiinote .

Everytime I hear about how Sony and Xbox screw up and do something bad or dumb, I tend to imagine how it affects Noire, Uni, and Vert in Gamindustri.
EDIT: the only reason why Blanc wouldn’t be too affected by Nintendo’s screw ups is because Nintendo has fans that will defend them to the end of time.

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!The idiot ball followed by share divestment would be my guess (expect for Blanc's case for aforementioned reasons)
However it would be in line for Lowee in general to be the most trigger happy and overzealous with combating piracy nautical and otherwise both due to in game lore (reminder that Arfoire is a very relevant foe as the personification of piracy and the Big Bad for at least the first two games) and as a reflection of Nintendo's stint of IP protectionism for lack of a better term.
Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution Game's Opening Movie Trailer Reveals Xbox Series X|S Version in 2024
Bad news: looks like the Switch ports of the Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy are delayed indefinitely in the West.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Damn. I wasn't expecting playing either game, but damn.
"It's requested that your death ends here, now!" - Sayaka, Death end re;Quest Code Z.At this point, the games spin-off hell can mean one of two things:
- CH and IF are just trying to keep to their Cash-Cow Franchise a flout for however long
- Considering how expensive looking MegaNep by their standards, they are probably stretching it just to get enough money to make the mainline game good.
I wonder if SVS and/or GMRe were made for the series' 10th anniversary, and that the only reason Virtual Stars, Ninja Wars, and reVerse were released instead was because CH and/or IF wanted to hype the fans up for a genuine continuation for the Hyper Dimension timeline, but still wanting to keep the Spin-Off format. Hence, Sisters and Game Maker ended up being Gaiden Games for the VII characters (the CPUs and Candidates for the former; Older Nep, Croire and the Gold Third for the latter).
I'm also suspecting that, because of it being little more than an Updated Re-release to a Video Game Remake that served as one to the first entry and the middling reception it followed, reVerse more or less killed the trend of Neptunia mainline entries being remade or receiving an updated re-release... Which to be frank was honestly for the better given most Neptunia remakes past Re;Birth2 were just the original game but with a few additional features.

Very late response, but probably yeah.
Unrelated, but I also have a theory regarding the Spin-Off games released in The New '20s: all of them were clearly hopping off the hype train of Victory-II to hype up fans for the currently unannounced upcoming mainline title. And it's hard not to see why, considering:
- Virtual Stars uses the CPUs NEXT Forms as DLC equipment
- reVerse adds Uzume as a DLC-exclusive playable character note
- Ninja Wars sees the return of Affimojas and Steamax, this time as members of the Steeme Legion
- Sisters vs Sisters explicitly takes place after the events of VII (Kurome is mentioned as one of the major antagonists they fought) and has a tone similar to the mainline titles. Dark Purple also appears as an Optional Boss.
- Game Maker R:Evolution sees the grand returns of Older/Adult Nep, Croire and the Gold Third, and is heavily implied to take place after VII, namely its True Ending
- Titan Dogoo (which will be releasing in three days) sees the grand return of Uzume as the game's central character after being Demoted to Extra for a while, as well as Dogoo Lady and (presumably) Dogoo Man
There's also the three OVAs released for the anime that loosely adapts VII's storyline. With that in mind, is it possible to believe was all intentional in Compile Heart's part?

Hmmmm, now that you put it like that... you're on to something.
I think I mentioned this before but I believe that the reason why the new mainline game is taking so long is because of how budget breaking Victory-II is by IF standards and thus the team needing more time to fully cook the game (so to speak).

She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/AI think it's possible that the new mainline title will be released in 2025 for the franchise's 15th anniversary. Also I think we should keep track of the other Compile Heart games currently releasing this or next year.

Btw with the Steam Deck being of thing and making Steam so popular in Japan that Nintendo had to DMCA Garry's mod content. Do you think we'll finally get to see the PC gaming side represented in the next game? (Peashy doesn't count)
