Planescape Hijack
...now THAT is a Nice Hat. The orange-and-green made me think of tangle buddies at first, which could mean this scene takes place in the future relative to the other scenes, but now that I think about it, it probably just represents the timeline future Dave comes from entwining with this one.

Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuI never fail to be amazed by his use of words and simile...
Also, "droll" is a noun now?

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Oh, hell. Looks like what the Trolls were talking about, was that Jack Noir is now basically breaking the rules of chess and making the first move. The kids are gonna have to haul ass quickly if they want any chance of winning.
Then again, it's odd how, in the Bad Future, there's no indication that Skaia has been destroyed (Dave only says that they've lost because John and Jade are dead), so there might be something more to it.

And now we have the Draconian Dignitary, aka Diamonds Droog, as clearly pointed out by the diamond in the text bubble, as well as Jack Noir's new alias: Sovereign Slayer.
Now, who's going to be Hearts Boxcars?
Well, I Failed a Spot Check on that one. Should have noticed Hegemonic Brute.

"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "^^ Seconded so hard. Whenever they turn into Noodle People, things turn awesome.
This update earned some serious points for making me quite literally go "Wh-wh-wh-what?" when I first saw it.
I have a message from another time...Oh.
Whoa. Dream!Jade is extremely Badass. Did you see her expression during ADDITIONAL PUMMELING?

So, now we know what Skaia looks like.
And... Now we know why WV hates kings, and now there's more indication that the final boss is Jack. And things have gone completely off the rails at this point in terms of what is supposed to happen, as the white king's staff is now out of everyone's hands.
Yeah, that too. That's why I believe he's gonna be the final boss. I mean, he's actively gunning for the white rings (obviously to destroy Skaia), killed both black monarchs, and with both items, he's more powerful than the king and queen were combined. This appearence and his last one are both good final boss previews, and he's perfect final boss material. So Yeah.

Whoa. Plot elements aside, finally seeing the greater conflict that's only been alluded to so far was awesome.
In hindsight, it seems so obvious that WV was exiled for leading a rebellion—and yet, I don't think I ever would have guessed; I think his goofy behavior probably has to do with that. But what I find really interesting is that the army he led had troops from both sides.

Whoa. Much quicker to the veil than I expected, even with that troll's comment...
