The thing you quoted was unforgivably short-sighted in that it doesn't tell us how to kill the things.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe way to deal with talking ponies is to kill them until they die from it.
Forever liveblogging the Avengersokay is there some rule that says anytime ponies are mentioned the thread gets derailed
za song is hereeee

As for ponies... For some reason, that reminds me of the totally not connected fact that I learned my brother is as big of a fan of Homestuck as I am five minutes before my parents and I headed for high ground on Friday morning. * Still need to bug him about whether he's actually read it or if he was just pretending to not hurt my feelings.
A bit late, but here's my guess on the scratch: It's identical to a branch timeline, the difference being that the timeline with which the trolls are interacting is not the alpha timeline. Earth existed up to this point because it was necessary to reach this point. The session exists up to this point because it was necessary to reach this point. Ditto the trolls' interactions. Since earth is running on a timeline skew to the medium, the exiles aren't millions of years in the future, they're simultaneous, so they'll still disappear "when the scratch happens", only it's hard to guess when that is. And they exist up to this point because they are going to be necessary to reach the point at which the scratch happens in the way that it is reached.
When it happens, the universe won't stop having existed. It'll still have existed up to that second, it just will end there and not exist one second later. Just like the branch timelines. It has an effect on the alpha timeline, in that it forces "parameters" to be shuffled, so it happened the same as yesterday happened to you and me. It just happened in a universe that's now terminated.

You know, I kind of feel like the slower update schedule as of now is because these current updates are so heavy on revelations and Hussie is attempting to prevent his serial readers from getting fatigued.
