So Nes is happiest and most relaxed when chatting with random people at a fast food restaurant, making that your place of power? I'll get back to that.
As for Oksana
Other than that:
1. Between Glory and Truth, which is most important to Oksana? (Note that an adamant refusal of Glory also makes it important, and being a keeper of secrets or a habitual liar still makes Truth Important)
2. Is her high pain threshold paranormal, or merely phenomenal as a result of her trauma?
3. Is there a person she cares about more than her father?
4. How would you describe her attitude toward her father in one brief sentence?
5. Was he insane before the fire?
6. Has he been institutionalized?
7. What is the place where Oksana feels most powerful or at peace?
8. Is she inclined to take the high road or the low in the pursuit of justice?

1. Truth.
2. No one's sure. Possibly a bit of both.
3. No. She does have a few friends and is close with a few relatives (her older brother, for instance), but her father is most important to her, and vice versa (as he kind of depends on her). Although she's always wondered about her mother (she died a while after giving birth)
4. She sees it as her job to look after him / keep him out of trouble / prevent him from doing anything crazy. She loves him, but finds him frustrating and hard to deal with at times. She hopes that someday he'll be able to take care of himself.
5. Yes, although he wasn't always insane. No one's quite sure when the change happened, due to how subtle and gradual it was.
6. Yes, a few times.
7. An old, run-down warehouse near her home, specifically late at night / early in the morning (12AM-5AM).
8. Either. She'd be willing to do whatever it takes and tends to believe that the ends justify the means.
Well it's small town america. Profanity shouldn't be used as punctuation because it isn't that kind of culture. When injured, or really upset, I'll leave that to your discretion.
As for killing, once again committing murder should be a big deal. The standard should be about Buffy/Angel level where various members of the groups committed murder or manslaughter of a human but they weren't doing it all the time.
As for sex, if your character can find partners and persuade them (but let's face it, only Whitney so far is likely to have much luck), and is inclined...go for it. However I believe explicit descriptions of the action would exceed the forum boundaries.
Oksana:
1. Prior to Oksana's accident, would you say she was interested in just living her life, gaining status through her musical talent, or mastering some kind of technology?
2. Is the memory of Oksana's mother the kind of thing where she imagines what her mother would advise her?
3. Between Duty, Love, Glory and Truth, what is more important to Oksana?
4. Given the high importance of Justice to Oksana, why is she so devoted to her father who apparently caused her mother's death? How does she interpret Justice?
Whitney
1. By the time Whitney was in high school, what was he aiming for? A high income future, a leadership career, or was he just interested in living life day to day?
Nes
1. By the time Nes was in high school, what was he concentrating on, mastering some form of technology, being at the top of the school totem pole, or developing his powers?
edited 17th Nov '10 8:26:00 AM by Nobodymuch
A little of the last two, he was mostly focusing on his powers which by now he had expanded to also having natural having empathic senses, two way telepathy and limited mind reading and upgraded Clairvoyance. In the process of non-stop training, he managed to make friends with the school nerds in Chemistry, the only class he doesn't do mediocre in...
Laconic: advancing his powers, while ensuring being the bottom of the high school totem pole.
HoNKhKkhnhOnNkI'm almost ready to do character sheets
Nes
1. Did Nes have any ethical restrictions on how he used his psychic powers? Was he a voyeur?
2. Something fairly recently happened to Nes that was a game changer for his life. Was it:
A: An encounter with one or more paranormal entities? B: Learning of some great destiny he's supposed to have? C: A tragic event, the loss of someone he cares about D: The discovery of a place of great mystic power?
Whitney
1. Whitney doesn't seem to have much of a connection with his family. Who does he have a connection with? A teacher/coach? A girlfriend? A friend and classmate? A dog?
2. What's the biggest recent thing to happen to Whitney?
A: Encounter with the paranormal B: Winning a major athletic event C: A tragic loss D: Someone told he had a greater destiny to fulfill than going to the Olympics.

1. Just living her life. She had often considered where her musical talent could take her, but she never dwelled on these thoughts too long.
2. Not really. Considering when her mother died, all she was able to learn about her was through stories from her father and reminders of her lying around the house, like the family photo album or her mother's poetry book, which Oksana has spent considerable time reading and rereading. Occasionally, however, she will wonder what her mother would think of a certain action or belief.
3. Truth. It's almost as important to her as justice, and she firmly believes no relationship (romantic, plotanic, familial, etc.) can stand for very long without it. Despite this, she keeps her fair share of secrets.
4. Even if it's clear to everyone else, it's never occured to Oksana that her father could've been responsible for her mother's death, or when it does, she pushes the thought from her mind. She sees justice as everyone being paid accordingly for their deeds, good or bad. She also considers helping the less-fortunate a huge part of justice.
I'd like to play.
Myron Cumberland
1. Human
2. Lower class
3. Aside from his brother, all of Myron's family is dead.
4. Myron is, without exaggeration, the strongest man alive - but he expends energy at such an advanced rate that simply walking up some stairs could kill him. As such, he's usually confined to a wheelchair.
This is sort of a character I'd been tweaking for something else for a while, but I thought I could use him here. Is that "strongest man alive" thing okay? I just think that's important for the juxtaposition of this guy as both unparalleled and feeble physically. I'll change it if you need me to for balance reasons, or whatever.

A few explanatory notes.
Wolf Run is a hiking trail outside town. It is so called because people have occasionally spotted wolves hanging around it. The most excitable people have reported the wolves being bigger than great danes. Whitney likes to run it because it's five miles either way so it's good endurance training, and afterwards he feels energized and alert.
Hell House is a slightly absurd mansion which was one of many residences belonging to a rich out-of-towner who died under very odd circumstances with a bunch of his guests. After the fire the house was repaired but the next tenants moved out and local myth has it that the house is haunted. Nes likes to go there because it has a capacious library with a lot of occult material. Oksana likes to go there because it has an excellent piano.
The history I've pieced together for Oksana has her father going away for a stretch in a mental ward after the fire. She and her sister were fostered separately in the city. The family has recently been re-united when the father regained custody, and Oksana is mostly responsible for that. Now they've returned to the town where Oksana was born.
As for Myron, I think we have to change something. As things stand he's "lower class" so he isn't going to have a motorised wheelchair. He can't propel himself around because the exertion of that is just as much as walking. He'll hulk out and then faint. So, he needs a pusher, and Nes and Whitney are both high school students. So I think Myron will have to be as well to have a connection to one of them.
So, what, make him their age/go to the same school? You're right, I never intended for him to have a motorized wheelchair, but that's why I mentioned his brother as a Satellite Character. Eh, I'll change it however you want, it's cool.
Grr. Argh.Who, Myron, or his brother (Hal)?
Myron has slightly above average intelligence, but not a whole lot else. Hal isn't "special" like Myron, but he's a Deadpan Snarker and bitter about having to take care of his older brother.
Grr. Argh.

Alright then. Feel free to connect her to them in whatever way you see fit.
Oksana Kazakova
1: Human
2. Middle class
3. Dead mother, insane paranoid conspiracy theorist father.
4. Fast swimmer, master pianist, can withstand a lot of damage, has burn marks across the entire right side of her body from her face to her foot (from her father accidentally burning their house down)
Most important to her is justice.
