Pokémon is already turning into the MCU - sorry, MCM (Marvel Cinematic Multiverse).
Some of the main series games may be in different timelines, but presumably the same multiverse, which might even include the anime and other media.

that's exactly why Ash is in masters as Hoopa did a funny.
Re Cyrus: that's what his revenge is: to rebuild the world without spirit so he won't feel pain anymore, all thanks to his parents for being the pinnacle of Asian education parents with really high expectations, it got so bad to the point were his grandfather thought to take Cyrus away from his parents which speaks volumes.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. My one and only Fate servent. The thing about “canon” is the term is meaningless without qualifiers. A work can be canon to another work, while not being canon to a third work. The Mystery Dungeon games aren’t canon to the mainline, for example, but they are canon to each other.
That said, so far the main series has not acknowledged Masters in any way.

My musician pageMy stance for most works in a series like Pokemon is this: I assume they're in their own continuity unless the work itself explicitly states otherwise.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."The mainline series rarely references spinoffs at all, to be honest.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! The mainline games themselves aren't all in the same timeline. That started in Gen 6, with ORAS implying that the original RSE was a seperate universe (and using the Link Cable to get rid of the meteor would have made it their problem) and that XY was canon to the ORAS timeline rather than the RSE one. And then Gen 7 opened up the Ultra Wormholes and just made the multiverse canon.
So yeah, every version of the game is in its own universe at this point, and how much of the previous games are canon in that universe is in constant flux. And with Ultra Wormholes allowing people from the old games to end up in the new ones... it's only a matter of time before a 'classic' and 'modern' version of the same character end up face to face.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Yeah, from a certain point of view, you could argue Emerald is canon while Ruby and Sapphire aren't.
Heck, Diamond and Pearl might not be canon since Cynthia mentions the events of Platinum happening in the Unova games.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I wouldn’t consider any mainline games to be non-canon to the multiverse without very good reason.

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! If Z-A has Alpha Pokemon, one Pokemon I'd love to see is Alpha Tyrantrum. Though given how Arceus handled its Fossil Pokemon, I'm expecting the Tyrunt line and Amaura line to only appear in space-time distortion-type events, so a wild Alpha Tyrantrum probably won't be a common sight, if at all.
I'd also love to see an Alpha Florges in action.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."

Is there any indication that Masters is actually canon to the mainline games?
