Besides all the dog Pokemon, there's also Arven's Mabosstiff who gets to be a central character in Arven's storyline.
Def a dog lovers gen.

Or more like a Sandy Shocks. Sandy Shocks is part Ground, after all.
That honestly might have been a better way to make a more powerful version of Dugtrio — a Paradox variant. It worked for friggin' Delibird, after all.

Disgusted, but not surprised![]()

It's funny how Dugtrio has so many variants now but not a new evolution to fix it's crappy stats.
It's right there with the Meowth family.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I for one appreciate the lack of favoritism in Terastalization.
Oh yeah, I was POSITIVE they were going to have unique Tera forms that were dual-typed. I still think they'll add that in DLC, it seems too obvious not to do.
I can't hope this is the last gimmick they come up with. Unless combining the past gimmicks is a gimmick unto itself.
They already did that. Max is the super form of Mega combined with the super moves of Z.

Yeah, but wouldn’t be the first Pokémon that had its role completely changed when given a cross-gen evo.

My musician pageI feel like Dugtrio evo should only happen if they distribute Arena Trap to new Mons. There are of course equivalent abilities such as Shadow Tag and Magnet Pull, but Dugtrio (and I guess Trapinch, even if it loses it upon evolving) really shouldn't be the only one to run that ability.
Only sometimes postsI would expect a Dugtrio evolution to be an entire whack-a-mole machine.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."While this is a dog lovers gen, there aren't enough dog Pokemon in the Paldea dex to make a full team (there's only 4 dog Pokemon lines this gen). Hopefully they add more in the DLC.
You also need to choose Quaxly if you want all the dogs on your team with no type overlap.

If you go with "foxes are a type of dog," you can add Zoroark into that list.
I actually forgot Houndoom was in the Paldea dex even though they are key to the opening of the story and I ended up running from a Tera one that out leveled me.
That being said, both of Houndoom's types overlap with two of the others so you need to make a choice.

Dog lovers are really enjoying themselves this gen.
The legend has returned.
