If you ask me, Unown could be the poster Mon for Informed Ability.

Also, as for Gen III, it has Skitty and Swampert!

Well, sure. But the Ruins of Alph was one of the memorable areas in all of Johto thanks to the little fellah.

At least Unown had the gimmick being sentient letters and hinted at being the language of the universe. And Ditto had being well...a Ditto Fighter, not to mention a breeder's best friend.

Luvdisc has no such excuses.

Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!

The only real purpose of Luvdisc is to steal Heart Scales from, and then the Underground was added in Diamond / Pearl / Platinum where you could dig up Heart Scales.

And Milotic, and Altaria... On the other hand, Empoleon counts for at least two Salamence.

Huh? I can understand Altaria, since it's just a cloud with add-ons, but whats wrong with Milotic's design? I can understand having problems with certain other aspects of Milotic, but it's design in passable.

Noimporta Since: Jan, 2001

As Cliche stated, it's passable, if it weren't for the fact that everyone has to remind you at every given time that it's the PRETTIEST POKEYMAH EVAH

Similarly, Altaria would be ok for a flying pokemon... but Dragon? how? why?

My favorite 'mons?

  • Gardevoir, mostly because of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
  • Drifloon and Drifblim are just cool.
  • Metagross, becuase it's a freaking sentient Spider Tank.
  • Lapras has always been an old favorite.
  • Crobat, because it's better than you expect a fully evolved gorram bat to be.
  • And Empoleon, because again, it's a steel penguin and therefore Bad Ass.

Honorable mention to Clefable for its Crazy Awesome new ability and ludicrous movepool.

Tropius was my favorite at first sight. Not sure why, but there's just something I gotta respect about a Grass/Flying behemoth that's good with children.

As for Unown, doesn't the battle-Arceus-event music contain snatches of the Alph radio signal?

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?

OHGOD,YES! After hearing about how fun it was from Slowflake, I caught a Magic Guard Cleffa in Platinum and used Doremi in my main team. And then I put a Life Orb on her (no recoil for her!).>:D

Isn't it just frustrating when something just feels really right to you but you can't put into words why that is so?

I love the fact that Altaria is a dragon. ._. If I designed a Dragon Eevee, it'd be all cloudy and stuff, too... I don't knoooooow, it just, like, it pushes the "Dragon" stereotype in an interesting direction and Altaria's not just a bird but like a piece of sentient sky or something argh!

Seen the Green version Golbat?

I thought that most of the 1st gen Sprites were horrible, the ones in the 2nd gen were brilliant (Mainly Silver's), The 3rd's were great and the 4th gen sprites were static.

And am I the only one here who thinks that the crazy designs in the 3rd and 4th gen were better than most of the 1st & 2nd gen's sprites? Or the only one here that thinks that the 3rd gen was the best?

I'm having to learn to pay the price

I attribute it to the art quality and the fact that the GBA and the NDS both have better graphics than the GBC.

The spritework was better in later games (with some notable exceptions, like Dragonite.), but the Pokemon's looks in general didn't notably improve as far as I'm concerned.
