Alright, confess odd things.

For example, I'm jealous to my big brother becuase he discovered The Smiths first. Dammit, now I can't have a crush for Morrisey without feeling weird about it.

It's not often I laugh at This Troper vids, but episode 101 was hilarious (though I do wish it had been over by now).

I've never read, watched or played any Green Lantern media, but solely by reading the trope page I kind of want a mashup fanfic of it and Gurren Lagann.

There's fanart of that somewhere.

I said fanfic, Kraken, not fanart!

Just kidding, thanks for mentioning that.

Techno/electro music helps me concentrate.

Whether it's more ambient (half the Portal soundtrack) or more active (Prodigy, Hadouken, etc.) that does the trick mostly depends on my mood.

I have this weird nostalgic fondness for PS 1 and N64 graphics.

Understandable. I have a nostalgic fondness for 8- and 16-bit graphics and sound, but never played any such games as a child.

Which I guess makes it less of a nostalgic fondness and more of just a fondness.

I like going to You Tube and watch a lot of dance how-to's, along with any combos or routines to songs I love. Right now I'm looking at dances that use Adele's music ♥

I can't remember the last time I had a 10-minute-long face-to-face conversation with someone I wasn't related to.

I sometimes put long pauses and "uh"s into speech when they're unnecessary, because I strangely like the flow better that way. When I'm trying to be funny, anyway.

I get the feeling I'll be the subject of an episode This Troper.

Many of the members of my family, upon walking into a room that does not contain another member of the family, immediately assume they are the smartest person present. I have observed that this makes my father effectively more "stupid" by rendering him unwilling to accept that others might be right about things, so I often remind myself of my own weaknesses. I'm starting to worry that all I'm doing is messing myself up further. (Reminds me of Buffy The Vampire Slayer—"You have a superiority complex, and you have an inferiority complex about it.")

[up]I find it odd that the only people your family members don't have a superiority complex over are your other family members.

I have realized that when someone is talking about a subject in such a way that they sound like they know what they're talking about but I know that what they are saying is incorrect (usually due to my actually studying the topic at hand), their voice becomes akin to nails on a chalkboard to me.

So long as they are talking about the subject they "claim" knowledge in, their voice will be torture.

^^^^ Well, we've interacted enough with each other to know which of us are actually smart. My father in particular doesn't often interact with people outside the family who're as smart as him. (He does interact with people who know more about certain subjects than he does, but he doesn't always realize it, especially if he knows more about another subject than they do.)

Come to think of it, maybe I'm not Buffy, but Pooh-Bah. "My family pride is something inconceivable. I can't help it. I was born sneering. But I struggle hard to overcome this defect. I mortify my pride continually."

I can't look at someone directly for more than a second when talking to them. Part of the reason I don't like talking to people.
