Good Eats is possibly the most entertaining cooking show ever, and the one time my family actually tried one of Alton Brown's recipes was the best dinner ever!

I've always wanted to try making a homemade smoker to do bacon right, but so much work...! I definitely want to try some of his recipes sometime, though. Mmmm...

Did you try cooking fish like he does in the "pouches" episode? That's the recipe my family used, and it turned out incredibly well.

I'm a college kid with a dinky community kitchen. Fancy cookery is a bit beyond me at this point in time. sad

Ah, that's really unfortunate. Most of the recipes on Good Eats are only doable if you have access to an oven that you can get exclusive access to for upwards of 30 minutes.

Good Eats is badass, and that's all there is too it. Basically, Alton Brown is the reason I know how to cook. I was pretty disinterested until I watched his show and realized there was actually a sort of logical system underlying cooking. Turns out science is delicious! :D

^ Out of curiosity whast kind of system did you think it was before? Cooking always seemed pretty logical to me. Chemistry.

I love this show. I made a folder on my browser to store all of the cool recipes from the food network site Alton mentions on his show.

So far I only have one but that's because the programmers on the West Coast are jerks and don't run it every weekday consistently.

^^I didn't think it was any kind of system before. I didn't see any sort of logic in cooking until Good Eats explained it to me.

The nice thing about that You Tube channel is, you can copy the recipes as he goes! :D
