[up][up]What's the point? King and Marduk's entire recent motivation hinges on Armor King happening to have a previously-unmentioned brother. Law and Paul's debt issues were created entirely by Forrest Law's crashing Paul's bike in 4.

Even aside of Paul's battle-hunger and mainstay-status, some characters have been guaranteed to enter year after year while also being guaranteed to never have any plot-importance (like Paul): Feng Wei found the God Fist Scrolls he was looking for in the same game he was introduced, and its teachings basically amounted to giving him a good reason to show up to the tournament forever; Bryan was in serious danger of dying during the events of Iron Fist IV, until Dr. Bosconovitch gave him that perpetual-energy generator, ensuring that he'll never leave the series.

Other characters are literally tagging along with other characters: Baek has recently been participating largely as a result of his pupil's participation, Panda is the same to Xiaoyu and Bruce is this to Kazuya. Heihachi didn't even participate in Iron Fist V, but he was made playable anyway (with his battles aside from Raven all being as non-canon). As you can see the developers have been shoehorning increasingly flimsy reasons for the cast to be playable year after year. Most of the characters have had their plot-lines resolved either to a degree or completely*

.

The unfortunate fact is that the main series has to carry the weight of game-play and the story, and because of the fundamental limitations the two create for each other, it instead plods along clumsily while accomplishing neither. This is an issue with fighting games in general since the story is rarely important to them. This doesn't always have to be the case: Mortal Kombat Armageddon brought in every single character in the series' history yet the 2011 game has been better received. Fighting gamers like to have a ton of characters so long as they add some level of value to the game as a whole (most of the time). So a trimmed-down, cleaner experience isn't inherently bad; the main series of canon Tekkens might end up better for it.

These tag games on the other hand are non-canon and so therefore have the potential to be a perfect culmination of the series while introducing no or very few new concepts. Kind of like what a Greatest Hits Album is to a musician, if I could make a bad analogy.

As long as the trimming isn't as shoddily handled as SCV's was and is within reason, I wouldn't mind a few characters being rotated in and out of the roster (a la The King of Fighters) or even being killed off, provided that we get a new Tag every once in a while (if they kept the 3:1 ratio between canon and Tag games, that'd be fine) to bring them all back.

after playing Dead or Alive Dimensions,I think they should make a Tekken game to re-tell the stories of Tekken 1-3,since the story and the characters started to show a bit more depth only since Tekken 4,it would be a good way to explain what happened to Jun and other characters that were supposedly killed by Ogre, but turned out they didn't.

[up] Whether or not Jun is alive in canon is still up for debate, but I wouldn't mind seeing that.

It would probably piss off a lot of fans, but I would like to see that as Wii U's version of the game. Or at least the story mode in it.

I don't necessarily think that something that important to the plot of the series should be exclusive to one console, but a game of that nature would help to shed more light on things. What really happened to Kunimitsu? What about Jun's side of the family that Jin should have probably known about? What is the connection between Devil, the Devil Gene, and Ogre? These are just the tip of the iceberg.

I kinda like the idea to do a King Of Fighters style roster for the main games but I also like having loads of characters to choose from. So the more the merrier I say overall.

[up][up] DOA Dimensions was exclusive to the 3DS of all things.

Anyway, I think you might be overstating the importance a bit. The idea is to recap the plot so that the instalments join up a bit better.

yeah,Kunimitsu's fate is also something they should clear up already.Or why Jun advised Jin to look for Heihachi(if anything, she should have told him to stay away from Heihachi at any costs...)for help instead of her brother and Asuka.Heck,Asuka's character is being wasted by trying to focus her Foe Yay with Lili instead of developing a relationship with her long lost cousin, since her ending in Tekken 5 implied she might have inherited some of her aunt's spiritual powers and could be the only one to help Jin,but they have barely interacted with each other so far(her reason to fight in Tekken 6 was because she found out Jin is indeed her cousin and she wants to give him a piece of her mind, but she quickly forgets about that, she doesn't interact with him in the story and her ending just shows more Foe Yay moments with Lili)

I'm well aware of that. And while it wouldn't be a big loss if a game like that existed and was made exclusive to one system, all I'm saying is that if Ninja Gaiden 3 can be on the PS3, 360, and the Wii U...

If by Anna Williams, you mean T5 Anna, then yes.

She was darrin'd by Debra Jean Rodgers (aka Cassandra) in 6, who also happened to voice Anna back in Death by Degrees, much like Mary Elizabeth Mc Glynn as Nina.

The only plot event, in my opinion, that not only needs a recap but a proper explanation, is how Kazuya and Jun came to get intimate with each other.

Seriously, how it happened?

Wang Jinrei prophetized that Jun was the one to stop the forces of Devil in Tekken 2... and that's it; wild mass guessdid she try to put an end to the conflict by giving Kazuya some Intimate Healing?wild mass guess

I don't think they'd show that, for obvious reasons. Sure, people have theories that it wasn't consensual, but I think we should take the Word of God that Jun was mysteriously drawn to Kazuya and leave it at that.

What I would like to see, however, is Jun's run-ins with Devil and Ogre, especially the former.

Well if you must know......

See this article about sex. From there, you have to use your imagination.

More seriously, all that is mentioned about it is that Jun was 'drawn' to Kazuya. Probably supernatural shennanigans going on here.

If it was via rape, I don't see the problem by just stating it in some guide, no need to show it.

Itagaki had the balls to include a character in a fighting game, that it was the product of a rape; nothing was shown or ever mentioned again, no harms here.

I don't think it's rape, or at least, the implications don't seem to point in that direction from what we've been told. It sounds more like supernaturnal mumbo jumbo-induced one-night stand and that's it.

Have you even heard of a strong arcade scene in the UK? Neither have I. Most of us are just waiting for the fecking thing to come out on consoles.

Good thing to, as for most of these guys they would face defeat if they challenged me.

Shame. The arcade I go to has one, but the line for it is usually pretty long. I end up just putting my arcade card down and play some Tekken 6 machine behind TTT 2. It's an absolute blast playing though, the combat feels really natural and its only 50 cents a go. Unfortunately, it turns out 50 cents adds up fast when everyone is trying to take down the guy on a win streak.

found more interesting stuff:

Bryan Fury(mostly his Evil Laughs. He was also Eddie in Silent Hill 2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KExsOHcABvw&feature=related

and Paul Phoenix(also the Vic Viper pilot in Gradius V and the main lead of that Dino Crisis spin-off shooter Dino Stalker):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOJ2-osx2P8&feature=related

it's interesting to find these stuff from these low-profile voice-actors who live and work in Japan(like how Anna's VA is a bit famous in Japan for being the announcer of those fighting tournaments over there).

another example:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5vMEnGGb00

it's the guy who played X in Megaman X7,Frank West in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom and Kyo in KOFXII;in a program about travelling in Japan on his motorcycle.

oh,and Raven in Tekken 5(and Zero in Megaman X7):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndV8DeN_4dU&feature=related
