You bastard. You realize that the next time I pick up a Hellboy comic, that song's going to run through my head, right?
https://www.facebook.com/emileunmedicatedanduncutThis cover version would probably be a better fit.
I didn't write any of that.Interesting yes? Exciting times. Although I don't think the epic scenery thing is going to get done. Mike Mignola tends to put his epic stuff in the background unnoticed. Like in BPRD Hollow Earth with the giant machinery. It's there and it's epic, but it's clearly just the background. However I would love to be proven wrong.
Oh my goodness. Cue Squee in five... four... three...
https://www.facebook.com/emileunmedicatedanduncutMaybe Mignola was acknowledging that epic scenery has not been featured very well in the past, and this time it's going to be front and center.
I hope this means that Mignola's going to be doing the art himself.
I didn't write any of that.Make a Wish kid wished to meet Hellboy and then become Hellboy. My respect for Ron Perlman has increased tenfold.

Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Hello guys!
Since this is a Hellboy thread I wanted to drop a question, in case anyone can help me out here!
Does anybody know which are the comics where I can read about the second film topic? Elfs, the king Valor, his children and the Golden Army.
Thanks in advance!
We have two Hellboy threads in Comics, and I think one should be locked.

I nuked the duplicate and renamed this one.
Balor and the elves were, as far as I know, original to the movie. There's no golden army to the comics....the nearest approximation are the Storm and Fury arcs which feature The Fair Folk waging war
So I’ve obtained all 4 Hellboy Omnibuses as well as the 2 Short story omnibuses. I’ve started with the Short stories and am almost finished with V1.
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price. And so B.P.R.D The Devil You Know #12 is out. The world is still ending. And Liz, Abe, and Hellboy are returning to New York while people are being led underground for shelter. Three more issues left.
So I finished Hell on Earth and collected most of the main storyline, minus a book or three...
was anyone else disappointed by the resolution like I was?
Without going too deep into spoilers, it wasn't that bad things happened to characters I liked, or that bad things happened to the world, but rather how and why they happened. One of the things I liked best about this series was how it could surprise me. Everybody knew the end of the world was coming, but no one knew what it would look like. Everyone had plans for the apocalypse, and the Right Hand of Doom, and all the rest of it, and those plans went awry. Important characters died. The main cast shifted again and again. Hell went through its own apocalypse before the rest of the universe did. Everything felt chaotic and unsure, and that made it feel real and present.
And then, the final chapters are basically a laundry list of things that were predicted. "Remember when we said this would happen? Here it is. Remember when we said that person would play a role? Here they are." For a series that was constantly surprising, it was just so... uninspired?
I finished The Devil you Know and was very underwhelmed. After a 25 year buildup that ending felt extremely rushed.

Is it too much to ask for Ron Perlman back?
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonAt least this is a low key story that stands on its own. Why they decided to adapt the queen of blood last time when it's an endgame storyline that requires years of story to work is beyond me.
