I'll be the first to say that there's a good chance that my sexuality is simply delayed. It happens.
Some writing.I think my lack of attraction is simply due to my interpersonal drives being underpowered. I think I've found some women attractive...
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Sexually, I'd say I'm pretty average, but when it comes to romance I can be downright clingy, to the point where it's kind of a personality flaw. I've been wanting a steady relationship since I was 12 or so.
online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comOh Star Sapphire, how I love you. Just made better by her having the essence of love itself inside her.
"They wanted to play 'memes' with the Old School. Now there are tears." - Fast EddieI do so hate when groovy guys I like end up with clingy jealous beeyotches or Yandere types cause I hate seeing guys pushed around. I love to rag on self proclaimed "nice guys" who complain that All Girls Want Bad Boys, but I can almost see where they're coming from whenever I crush on a guy who happens to be dating some overbearing psycho. Or maybe it's just I Want My Beloved to Be Happy, ultimately. I dunno, I never get jealous in a relationship, but after the break up the jealousy kicks in and I will give them the frowning of a lifetime, I will!
Aaanyways, on a more cheerful note, Jon Stewart is so damn sexy when he's cheerfully laying the smackdown on someone with an irrefutable argument. Ok, he's a real flesh and blood person, but... um... he's on tv?
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!I think finding Jon Stewart attractive counts as PSL.
I'll agree that Dawn is cuter than May. Though I don't really have PSL for either.
Well, characters are made to be at least somewhat human-like or otherwise relatable, and given that it's possible to find real humans appealing, it doesn't come as a surprise that it's possible to find human characters appealing.
Ok, I don't know if it deserves it's own thread in Trope Talk, but why is it even called Perverse Sexual Lust in the first place? When I think of digging fictional characters weather an innocent crush or all out lust, it's just... liking a fictional character. Perverse Sexual Lust makes me think of a kind of lust that whatever it is you just don't want to know about, ya know?
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake! It's from Shortpacked or some other comic by the same dude, I don't remember.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Landstander: Well, for what it's worth, I also differentiate it between (sexual) lust and being attracted to the character.
I find Mia and Jenna attractive, for example. If they existed in real life, I would be willing to date them.
On the other hand, if Leviathan existed in real life, I would probably not be willing to date her.
I would probably try dating Yuno in Real Life, but I'd carry several knives at all times. Luckily, I already do! So everything works out spiffy.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Ah. Hmm... think it might be worth it to suggest a rename, or would it be pointless and I might as well just make a Just Bugs Me about it?
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!Yeah, I think it's worth a rename and a split.
To something like Lust For Character and Crush On Character.
Agh, not more renames! You people! Just go with the flow, Landstander, is it really that important?
Okay, take it to Trope Repair, I'm not discussing this.

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I'm a fan of renames to names that make the most sense and are easy to find.
By the way, Sean Connery Is About to Shoot You is a long-time pet peeve of mine, in terms of article names.

Sean Connery Is About to Shoot You is one of my absolute favourite trope names.
On PSL - I am not an asexual, and the idea of actually wanting to sleep with a fictional character does seem a bit weird to me, but y'know, each to their own. A lot of what I do probably seems pretty strange to other people.

In summary: sexiest woman in comics? Perhaps.

Maybe we attract weird people, maybe some of them are not quite asexual but haven't realized yet, maybe they lie and just want to be speshul... in any case, I give it not much thought, and neither should you
