Perverse Sexual Lust also has a page on the wiki. If you find the character crudely depicted attractive, it becomes self demonstrating.

Sakaki. She's the perfect woman. Even moreso because she doesn't know it, which keeps her modest. Yes, she's beautiful, but even if she wasn't, she'd still be strong and smart. And, for some reason, it appeals to me that she's so quiet... I know it's at least partly because she's shy, but I like the strong, silent type. In a way, I'm sort of envious of her ability to keep quiet... I'm quiet sometimes, but there are lapses in my ability to keep my mouth shut.

Alright, alright. I've never admitted this to anyone, but I trust you tropers. I have a fondness for cute, quirky, waiflike girls. Two good examples: Eden and Charlie from Heroes, and Amelie Poulain from, obviously Amelie. I liked Winona Ryder as the android girl in Alien: Resurrection, too! Oh, and Natalie Portman as that chick in Garden State!

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't fap to the thought of these characters, but I can't help but get all smiley and blushy in that "moemoe" way when they come onscreen. ;)

Edit: Hm. Conspicuous lack of anime, manga, cartoon, and comicbook characters there. How about I throw in Hinata Hyuga, Sora Hasegawa, Osaka, and of course Velma to that list?

Damn. I second pretty much everything posted here, except that I don't remember Alien: Resurrection (I think I saw it, but it was a long time ago) and I never saw Garden State. Sakaki, though... tall, quiet, likes cats but doesn't have good luck with them... friends with an Iriomote wildcat, the most adorable wildcats of all. Eden and Charlie from Heroes, a show which apparently likes to kill off its cute and interesting female characters within a few episodes of introducing them. Just... Amelie.

I'd be shirking my duties (don't ask which duties, or who gave them to me... just duties!) if I didn't throw some Ho Yay into here, though. As I've commented in a couple of other places, Maxim from Girl Genius is hot in a dress. Kamina is awesome enough to transcend gender. And everyone is gay for Bruce Campbell.

Oh, right... fictional characters. I meant to say "Ash from Evil Dead/Army Of Darkness." I'm not harboring a crush on the real Bruce Campbell at all, srsly.

Edit: Speaking of Bruce Campbell, I'm reminded of a conversation I had with a lesbian friend of mine... she wanted to know, if I absolutely had to sleep with a man (this was back when I called myself 100% straight), who I would pick. I thought for a moment, and said "Bruce Campbell." Beat. "Something wrong with that?" She smiles, and says she just thought it was funny, 'cos that would have been her answer too.

So not only is everyone gay for Bruce Campbell, lesbians are straight for him too.

Oh! Oh! I just remembered! Ai Tanabe, from Planetes! She's a perky little Love Freak who starts out as the shy little newbie on the job, but later becomes awesomely Hot-Blooded for Space Garbage Collection! She makes my heart soar when she makes passionate speeches about love.

Also, how could I forget Nia Teppelin? Or her older sister in design Nono, from Diebuster? Or lovely, sultry-lipped, short-skirted Mamimi Samejima of FLCL fame?

If we have to pick our gay crushes from Girl Genius, Maxim is nice and all, but I really think I'd go with Tarvek or Gilgamesh. Tarvek if we're just going by looks, but I like Gil's personality.

I self-identify as "only mostly straight" just so I can say things like that without feeling awkward. Well, that and because of a mailman that I wound up thinking of as "Viggo" just because I couldn't remember his name that gave me funny feelings inside, but that's neither here nor there. ^_^;

Anyways, back to the PSL befor this gets derailed into a topic about the Kinsey scale!

AOD: I'd pick Ranma and ask to have sex in a swimming pool.

Every bone in my body would be simultaneously reduced to a fine powder, but up until the violence,the reaction would probably be hysterical.

I know, I know. I was joking.

...One the other hand, is it wrong that some characters are bizarrely hot when their genders are bent? Sarah of El Goonish Shive makes a very cute boy, and the less said about the cheerleaders from that Wotch spin-off, the better. ^_^;

Well, I identify as "straight, and pretty damn certain of it", for reference.

I'll also add that any cases of PSL that I have are generally not all that sexual, and usually are just me finding a character attractive, or (in more intense cases) are me thinking "if this character existed in real life, I'd find them really romantically attractive". So yeah, not exactly the same kind of stuff exemplified by the now-famous Starfire-in-a-sexy-pose pic.

I've thought that Lucca from Chrono Trigger was rather attractive, and I think a real-life glasses-wearing nerd girl would have several major bonuses to attracting me. I still retain my trait of being generally attracted to girls with glasses, causing me to sometimes complain when TV shows have girls take off glasses and suddenly become beautiful. (Funny that I've chosen the nickname "Glenn", in that I've heard that in one of CT's endings Lucca finds the transformed-back Frog—or rather, Glenn—rather attractive.)

(I similarly complain when they undo ponytails, since I also think ponytails are quite attractive.)

When playing Golden Sun, I thought Jenna was quite cute and had a fun, sprightly, and strong personality. Of course, Jenna left early on in the first game, and I was left with Mia about halfway through the game—whom I grew to like a lot, for different reasons though. First of all, she's the level-headed, humble, role-model-older-sibling type. Second of all, she's really. really. cute. (For the record, Sheba is the silent, stays-in-the-background type of character that I might find attractive but would have to sit around and suddenly realize.)

Strangely, I have no PSL for any Evangelion characters, despite my strong appreciation of the series. I thought Ritsuko was kinda hot at first (and a hot scientist, even!), but I grew to dislike the character by the end of the story. Misato I never thought was all that attractive (but I my impression of her changed from dismissive to sympathetic). Asuka I pretty much just feel is a sympathetic character—I've asked myself several times why I don't more than barely attractive, and I still don't know why. And I know it's not her personality. It may be the fact that I find it kinda wrong to lust after a character who I know will be beaten to a bloody pulp by the hands of fate—the sort of wrong that characterizes Dude, She's Like in a Coma.

Seems like my attraction toward a character is strongly influenced by their personality and their role in the story.

I think Leviathan from Mega Man Zero is mildly attractive (mainly through fanart that makes her cuter than she is in the games, such as this one pic by someone screen-named "Cecil"), I don't really get much attached to the character because she's (1) a villain in the first two games at least, I think, and (2) excessively flirty (which turns me off). (Of course, it doesn't help that I don't particularly like her character art.)

Other characters I've had a minor amount of attraction toward include Nina (from Breath Of Fire 1—only ever played 1), Terra and Celes (from Final Fantasy VI), Lena from Valis IV (not surprising since she's from a series that basically skirts the event horizon of porn), Lorelei (a.k.a. Prima) from the Pokemon TV show (love the glasses look and calm demeanor, but her boobs are way too freaking big—at least for my taste), Sakura from Naruto (she's cute, but she does way to little interesting in terms of advancing or giving meaning to the plot for my liking), Charlotte from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (she's quite cute, and is book smart and has magical powers to boot! and a cute little Berserk Button!), Fuu from Magic Knight Rayearth (glasses, book smart, and an awfully nice personality), Tori from Power Rangers Ninja Storm (quite an attractive action girl), and (I'll admit it) Ami Mizumo (who's just sweet as heck and also a genius). (I can't stand Usagi at all, though.)

I've never really been all that attracted to Samus, for some reason. Maybe it's the fact that in many portrayals she's just too much of an unsubtle bombshell action girl (even though I'm generally favorable to action girls), and the fact that she's kinda out of ANY guy's league. (Funny thing is that I find her more attractive in fanart of her just wearing a sweater and holding a steaming mug, more so than in the extreme action shots.) She IS wicked awesome, though, and should join the ranks of people like Chuck Norris and Simon Belmont.

I'm currently feeling rather attracted to a character I'm creating, but that might be partly because I'm attached to the character since she shares some of my own personality traits (and is in some ways a projection of myself immersed into the story, even though yes I'm a guy). It doesn't hurt that she was inspired by what I consider to be an insanely cute character from a piece of Mega-Man-X-style fanart. (Ironically, she doesn't like people making a big deal of her cuteness. Also, I'm not even sure if PSL really applies, because in some ways, I think she's too cute (and in a way, too innocent) to be lusted after.)

I identify as asexual. That said Jareth, hell David Bowie in general, breaks that. Nuada, as well. What is it about them? No clue. Siouxsie Sioux could convince me to swing her way as well.

It'd be easier to list female characters who I don't lust after.

Okay, not quite, but still. If you go so far as to include cases where the character just reduces you to a pile of "SQUEE" instead of a pile of "I'D HIT THAT", there's, like, about one per series for me. Well, sort of.

In no particular order: Pacifica (the lady in my avatar) looks cute, has an amazing voice-actor and a very natural personality, and her "armor" actually, you know, kinda pushes up her boobs and, like, that actually makes them look like breasts instead of round balls of flesh? A revolutionary concept for sure! Raquel makes me squee, too, but in another way. ("HOLY CRAP THAT WOMAN IS SO DAMN BADASS!") A character who gets both of those points for her is Rena. A girl who's cute and innocent (most of the time), but busts out amazing smarts and general badassery when the situation calls for it? Sign me up! Then there's Colette, until I started being able to predict what she would say in dialogue. Curse you, analytical mind! And then there's obvious ones like Hinata and Nodoka (and maybe Yue and that one girl who got a short subplot about how she appears to be nothing but a side-character), and half the female characters I create. And a few I forgot. And that's not counting all the girls I just find plain hot.

The worst case is, of course, Nagisa. Yeah. ... do I have to pick a boy, too? ... ... does Bridget count?

I don't really keep score, but I have crushes on characters on a regular basis. I wouldn't say no to a threesome with Revy and Rock. Of the Ouran boys, as my avatar would indicate, Mori is my favourite (and I really want to find the elusive Kasanoda/Nekozawa doujin). Ookiku Furikabutte; Tajima ftw. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, being a Yaoi Fangirl Fanboy, Harumi. Also, I'd like to slip under Kiri's blanket If You Know What I Mean. Yamazaki from Welcome To The NHK.

Non-anime, Captain Jack Harkness, Squee. I also imagine various Discworld characters really Bishounen, includind Owlswick jenkins and Hubert Turvy from Making Money, which I like to imagine becoming friends when they met, being a Mad Economist and a Mad Artist. I also ship Vetinari/Vimes >_>

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but I have a thing for Charlotte 'Chuck' Charles. She's just so adorably enthusiastic about everything, including really odd and obscure stuff, so I imagine she's probably a fascinating conversationalist. Not only is she a very sweet, compassionate, charming person but she can be really...let's put it bluntly, sexy when she wants to be.
