So I just got my first college textbooks. I have to read a couple over the Summer. Why is it all college textbooks have ridiculously dull covers? Brown like there's no tomorrow

One of the two I have to read now is an english book...and I'm not taking English, but they expect me to have it read anyway. The second is an intro to engineering book; that's sounding a lot more appealing.

Is Troy still alive? It's been a while since he checked in on the discussion thread

Today I learned I can do a wide variety of accents. However, I can never do the one I actually want to do, it just ends up as another one.

Hmmmm, I think Troy's absence can be related to the fact that he still has a couple of school days left and also because of the Fate Zero thing.

Patience is needed I guess.

Just checking.

Btw does anyone here know anything about suspension systems, making batteries, circuit boards, and long range computer communication?

I've done some electrical engineering, but to be honest I wouldn't take my word on anything (much less that stuff you just mentioned) as gospel.

So I'm probably gonna go back to the grimdark battlegrounds for the Apocalypse event that is set to happen Saturday... Mostly because it's the summer and I gotta spend it somehow.

Nah. Just a guy who went to his mall, entered the Games Workshop just as they announced they were gonna have a game night, stuck around to witness some battles and was given a card to go on their FB and noticed their Apocalypse event.

It's hella expensive for me to throw my hat in the ring, so the least I can do is spectate.

Can't blame you for that; it's why I don't play the tabletop game myself despite having dozens of 40k books. I don't have the cash to shill out for however many models I'd need to field even a small army, nevermind having any place to put them if I did.

Just watched the Lone Ranger.

It was a movie. It wasn't the greatest movie of all time, but it wasn't John Carter. At some points, Johnny Depp was doing a quasi-Captain Jack, but at others he managed to be pretty funny.

And that climatic battle was kickass.

Which is why we need a Great Train Robbery challenge. tongue With a Quirky Miniboss Squad.
