I don't know what other people think, but I personally read Eragon and Eldest and detested them.

@Bamack: One of our other characters is a powerful sorceress who can turn into a dragon at will, another is a dragon and also a powerful sorcerer, so a sorcerer and a dragon isn't unfair, even if they are from a.... less than exemplary book series.
