"You" in this case was Nick The Swing. I think everyone else has been pretty good about not playing obnoxiously overpowered decks.
Up to now, I've been able to avoid the temptation of obnoxiously overpowered decks partially because I see no shame in honourable defeat, and partially because I've been playing with the cards I've picked up from boosters and a friend in the past two months...meaning no Ravager Affinity, no Eldrazi (indeed, nothing from Rise of the Eldrazi, all we seem to have up here right now are the AU$55 starter packs), no Mindslavers, no efficiency calculations (how the hell do you do that, anyway?), no Blightning Aggro, no black lotuses (I should be so lucky), no skullclamps, and nothing else listed on the Game-Breaker page.
For today's game against Nick I'm actually foraying into the field of counting my cards as ones I don't have with a sheet of crib notes and Gatherer open, it'd never work in real life but this is the Internet. The planned one is a bit sligh-esque, it has to be said...it involves goblins, Chandra, a couple of dragons, and a garnish of lightning...there may be barrels of gunpowder issued to the goblins, and it's entirely possible I will have little to no control over what happens in any given turn by mid-match. (I suspect the secret to beating Mindslaver is to set it up so that who controls your turn is functionally irrelevant most of the time - plus, they're goblins, surging in with a barrel of high explosives under one arm and no regard for personal safety is entirely fluff-appropriate). That is all.

OK. Drop a mountain and summon Goblin Arsonist
. Go.
Life: 20
Lands: Mountain (t)
Creatures: Goblin Arsonist (1/1)
Hand: 2x Goblin Assault, Chandra, Goblin King, Mountain
...ha, holy crap, this is a good hand.
I'll drop a swamp, tap it for Gnat Miser
(reducing your maximum hand size by 1), and play a Spellbook
. Your turn.
- Life: 20
- Hand: 5
- Creatures: Gnat Miser
- Artifacts: Spellbook

OK, another mountain and now we're cooking with charcoal! Tap all three for Goblin King
and attack with the Arsonist, now 2/2. Do you intend to chump block, use an instant, or just take the hit?
Phew. Just in time. Drop a swamp and pay 2 for Howling Mine
.
Gentlemen... welcome to discard country.
Your turn.
- Life: 18
- Hand: 6
- Land: 2 (tapped)
- Creatures: Gnat Miser
- Artifacts: Spellbook, Howling Mine
Ah, the ol' Mine.
Drop another mountain, tap three for Goblin Assault
. Then charge with the King and Arsonist. Blocking or letting through?
Sorry about the delay, my internet connection had an issue with the TV Tropes server and I had to restart...twice. Go.
Life: 20
Lands: 4 mountains (3t)
Creatures: Goblin Arsonist (t), Goblin King (t)
Enchantments: Goblin Assault
Hand: 2 more Goblin Assaults, Chandra, Siege-Gang Commander, Akki Coalflinger

I'll play a Nezumi Bone-Reader
. Go.
- Life: 16
- Hand: 6
- Land: 2 (tapped)
- Creatures: Nezumi Bone-Reader
- Artifacts: Spellbook, Howling Mine
- Graveyard: Gnat Miser
First, Assault generates a (functionally) 2/2 token with haste. Then I drop another mountain and send in Siege-Gang Commander
, which also gives me three 2/2 tokens without haste. Then the Assault token, the King and the Arsonist go charging in. (Remember, these stats are with the Goblin King boost). Any blocking?

Um... there goes me playing watered-down / casual Red Deck Wins variants...
Still finishing: a whole lot of shows from Fall 2013 and Winter 2014.
