Weird dreams

Last night I dreamed that I was in a twisted version of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 that included characters from many different Spider-Man adaptations, and even other works (so basically, Spider-Man 2 if it was the upcoming Spider-Man movie.) I was some version of the Vulture, or possibly The Scarecrow. For some reason, I think I could have been either one.

The Green Goblin (I don't remember which version, but not the Willem Dafoe version) gathered me and a bunch of other supervillains together. He was forming a villain team, but he wanted only the best villains, so he decided to test us. He pulled out something made of paper, and a handgun. He said something along the lines of:

"I want each of you to toss the paper to the person next to you. Whoever doesn't catch the paper, dies."

I had to toss the paper to Dr. Octopus (The Alfred Molina version, the one who should have been the only supervillain in this movie), but oddly, he didn't catch it, despite his robotic arms. The Goblin shot Doc Ock, and I felt really bad, like I was responsible for his death. But then I thought:

"Oh, it's okay. He's the main villain of this movie, he'll come back."

The Green Goblin shot most of the other villains in the room, until I and a few others were left. One of the remaining villains was an Ax-Crazy Blood Knight, and for some reason he thought I was his best friend. He kept getting really close to me and talking about how excited he was to kill people. I just played along, even though deep down I was terrified of him.

I don't remember what happened after that.

I had a dream that the Ideaverse got invaded by a black hole and everyone in it died.

While sleeping in yesterday, I dreamed that a classic rock radio station in my area had changed into a MuchMusic-branded rock station that played songs that don’t exist in real life. It used a logo that looked a lot like the 1997 logo of their TV channel.

When I clicked on their Internet livestream, it was playing the end of a song where some parts were played in reverse for censorship reasons, and the fact that the station abruptly cut to a bumper implied that the song had a fade-out ending. The last line before the cutoff was a censored line that went “.ffins, ffinS” so I could tell that that line was reversed due to drug use. At another point, the livestream page showed an album cover that looked like (and was meant to be) “Five Man Acoustical Jam” by Tesla, but I don’t think the song that was playing was actually acoustic.

I don’t remember what the title of the first song was shown to be when it was airing, but when I looked at the title on what was presumably the Recently Played page, the title was “Up Yours”, and I think the page claimed that it was by the real-life band The Dead Daisies. I searched for the song with Google, and I think I typed the band name after results for just the title looked like adults-only stuff. I clicked on the music video for the song, and checked on the end of it. It showed some slices of pizza and, for some reason, the last one had coke on it, and I don’t mean Coca-Cola.

This morning, I woke up yelling (I don’t remember what) at one point because my dream mom had started smoking, apparently because she thought she was a boring person and had nothing better to do. (In real life, my mom seems to be allergic to tobacco smoke.)

Dreamt I was playing a Pokemon/Touhou crossover game for Switch. The game versions were called "Pokemon Red and Black" (despite there already being games with those names) and had Pokemon gameplay with Touhou characters (can't remember specific characters though, and the main characters - a different one depending on game - were probably made up specifically for those games) The graphics were Gen 3-style, and the game took place in Johto going by the town names - I mostly just remember the overworld gameplay though. There was an area with 3 yellow pokeballs/item balls on the ground, but instead of items, they just said various stuff when opened - one had some numbers referring to a secret code to be used later in the game?

Then later, I was at a part where random battles could happen anywhere... and was Parodius boss battle-style, including actal Parodius bosses! I fought against Cat Battleship by repeatedly shooting at it to reduce its HP (which was shown on a HP bar), and could throw a Pokeball at any time with Y to try catching it. There was also another version of it with an "Xbox 360" sign on it (referring to how this was apparently from an X360 version of the game?) and had a different, almost humanoid realistic face constantly changing expressions? There were also things moving around on the overworld map, and if you got hit you got sent back to the start of the area.

Here is a dream I had sometime in my early elementary school years:

I was in the church gym at the AWANA program (which I was attending in real life at the time) when the buzzer that signals the end of gym time went off. However, the buzzer caused the adult supervisor (who I think was Todd, an AWANA supervisor from real life at the time) to say that it was the end of the world! Because of this, everyone except me proceeded to lie down in sleeping bags. After everyone else was lying down, and before I had a chance to do what they were doing, I was teleported to a strange, dim, indoor place. The fact that I was separate from the group had an “I’m different from neurotypical people” vibe to it, even though I didn’t know that word, or the fact that I’m autistic, at the time.

When I teleported, I saw some strange orange lights moving, which I think was inspired by the subway train from the “Dancing City” credits of Sesame Street, and I could hear the coda of the “Barney Says” music from the first three seasons of Barney & Friends. I uncontrollably floated toward the orange lights, then passed though them as I heard a strange noise. Then, I saw a green cartoon bear in some kind of subway station. He said something that sounded like he was counting to 3 in Cantonese (just like Po from Teletubbies) followed by “Toodle-oo Bear!”, which was presumably his name. By the way, this dialogue from the bear was in sync with the last notes of the “Barney Says” music.

After going on some kind of brief journey through the subway station with Toodle-oo Bear, he was forgotten about as I met a bird who I think was supposed to be Birdie from McDonaldland. After a little while, I found my mom and probably more of my closest family members in an area that I think was outdoors. I tried to tell them about my journey in a dream scene that I think was inspired by the ending of the Rolie Polie Olie episode “Zowie, Queen of the Pumpkins”.

So, in conclusion, here’s how the apocalypse will happen: neurotypical people will disappear while autistic people will be teleported to strange subway stations where they will journey with cartoon animals before finding their families and somehow returning to normal life.

So, this was shorter and less eventful than most of my other dreams. But it's weird, so that makes up for it. I'm spoilering it because it's just gross.

Book from Battle for Dream Island was trapped in a box by her fellow competitors. Fries said something about pee, I forgot what it was, and Book started pissing and didn't stop for like 5 minutes. I then talked all about it on some forum (not real) that vaguely reminds me of TV Tropes. (which made me remember I haven't spoken here in a while...) So then I drew a picture of her peeing?? why...why me, contemplated my entire existence, and then the dream ended. Thanks subconscious, I hate it.

In my dream last night, I was in what I think was some sort of Mario game, where you entered the worlds through paintings like in Super Mario 64, although I'm not sure if I was just playing the game or I was actually in it.

The one level that I remember had the player controlling both Shy Guy and Luigi at once, one in the foreground of the level and one in the background. The level ended with a boss battle against a dog-like monster... made of paper clips... that turned into spaghetti when it was defeated? And the battle music was the one from the final phase of the Eternatus battle in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

So, last night/this morning because I woke up at 3 AM for some reason, I had this weird dream.

There was this group of teens that got water-related powers, I remember one was being able to breathe in water indefinitely but not the others. They were fighting some nebulous government/crime organization, not sure which, and eventually they walked through a hallway. This hallway contained two guys at a cafeteria-style station who were trying to flip food, but it kept sticking onto the overhanging lights. At the end of the hallway, a door opened into a room with an old lady. She told the group of teens some stuff that was going to happen in the future and then reset the timeline, Persona 2- style.

In this new timeline, the teens had the knowledge of the future the old lady had told them about and got really cocky. One of them touched a colored slip of paper before asking, which got another one mad because they got the slip of paper that bestowed breathing underwater and flipped it over with the side of that paper instead of touching it directly. Suddenly they're at an aquarium or something, because one of the teens sings, which summons a shark and eats a guy. I was walking after the person who summoned a shark with another person through the crowd. And then I woke up.

I had a dream in which Deoxys was confirmed as a DLC playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Its battle theme got a new remix which was about 6 minutes long, but I think it was two-and-a-bit loops, not that the entire thing was over 6 minutes long. Said remix started playing in the five seconds prior to its reveal in the trailer as well. I don't remember much more, but I think its down smash had it crouch slightly and quickly swing its arms outwards, similar to Greninja's.

This is all despite the fact that its Attack Forme is already a Pokeball summon. But now that I think about it, it could be an interesting surprise addition. Its down special could have it switch form, for example. Maybe it could even have different special moves depending on the form.

I dreamt there was a The Mandalorian movie that came before the show, but it was set in the suburbs of present day earth and it paired Mando with a teenage scrappy. Like so much of this "movie" seemed to be the Mandolorian arguing with a teen in various backyards or parking lots. Apparently the series was really a major retool of this movie after it flopped.

I was going to my college classes in a simulation of the campus because of Covid. Two of the classrooms were haunted, and still were even in the simulation. I managed to lift the curse on one of the rooms, but the simulation crashed and rebooted, so I had to do it again.

I had a few dreams that were weird, but rather short. The first dream was a livestream of Pokémon Sun and Moon, but it was corrupted or something or the text was put through Google Translate. The dialog was messed up, but all I could remember was that Litten was now called "the small man" or something nonsensical like that.

Last night, I recently had another dream where I was watching what looked like cable TV in this school/church looking place. At some point some weird protest or parade or march started, and the crowd was casually going through the room. There's no explanation behind the crowd, it just happens. Then some this Emergency Broadcast plays on the TV, and instead of that annoying beep, it plays some stupid jingle about the people marching. Instead of there being a real emergency on the TV, it just plays a cheesy song about the absurdity of people parading through this classroom looking place while watching cable TV in there. I get annoyed by this mess, and then my brother's alarm clock wakes me up at 6AM.

On the same night, I had a dream where I was in this unreasonably big house thing with way too many floors, and I needed to go to the lower floors to bring some vague object up. The house was like a mixture between a log cabin and a dimly lit cave, with the height of the empire state building. I go down the stairs and grab it, but I get lost trying to find a way up. Going down was easy, bur going up meant traversing this totally safe Rope Bridge, some weirdly placed ladders,dimly lit hallways, and a big pit.. I realize how impossible navigating this place was, and I just tried to toss the object up to the next floor, and I give up from there. I then woke up.

In conclusion, Dreams don't give a darn about safe house designs, Litten is the best the small man, and 🎤YOU CAN NEVER ESCAPE THE PARADE🎤

The other night I dreamt I adopted a rabbit named Mona, and I think eventually she died really sadly. :(

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

Alright, so not last night but the night before, there were a bunch of people in this city. It was really close to an island, and there were things like koi ponds in the middle of street, but there were things like buses.

Anyway, there were these ghosts - I'm not sure from what properties, but they all looked vaguely familiar? Fairly sure at least one from was from Final Fantasy - who went around possessing people. And then they just hung out and chatted for a while.

Last night, I dreamt I was in a La rosa de Guadalupe-styled anthology and there was this girl^note I distinctly remember her being named "Homurella" who deliberately made a helicopter crash against a building for "ruining her Quinceañera" by spraying its windshields with a paint-loaded pressure washer. By some miracle, nobody got killed, but the girl who caused the crash was the one we were supposed to sympathize with because none of her friends actually liked her.

I got caught in the fallout from the crash trying to chase my older sister Elsa among the streets while this girl was pelted with helicopter debris. I don't have an older sister.

Also Godot and Sans were in a relationship.

Not the weirdest dream I've had.

Last night I had a dream that my mom and I were going through our old Wii games when we found one called "Quarantine Boredom Pack." It looked like one of those cheap Wii party games from the late 2000s/early 2010s, even though the title was obviously based on the COVID quarantine. We had apparently gotten this game long ago and never played it, so my mom suggested I play it then.

Surprisingly for one of these games, there was a single player story mode. The first level was also shocking. It was a Five Nights at Freddy's ripoff, of all things. The level had a bootleggy title, something like "The Five Nights of Freddy's World."

Like FNAF, the level took place in a creepy pizzeria at night. However, the player character wasn't a security guard, but a random person who had a bed in the middle of the pizzeria for some reason. You could either hide under the covers from the animatronics, or get up and walk around to find weapons. You could find guns and grenades to kill the animatronics with.

The "animatronics" didn't really look like animatronics, though. They looked more like normal Funny Animals with Black Eyes of Evil. There was a fox, an ostrich, a giant squid, and some others.

Honestly, I want this to be a real game now.

A great Mascot Mook.

Last night, I had a dream that there was a book series about Nick Wilde, focusing on his life of crime before the movie. Even though it was supposedly a book series, I could see the action happening as if it was a movie. Also, strangely, in this book's version of Zootopia, there were humans living alongside the animals. In fact, there were more humans than animals.

The first "book" started with this human guy who knew Nick looking for Nick so he could talk to him. Nick really hated this guy because he talked too much, so Nick was trying to avoid him. Nick realized there was a parade going on, so he hid inside one of the mascot costumes... even though someone was wearing it. The guy in the costume freaked out, and I guess there was a big pandemonium that caused the parade to be cancelled.

The book then cut away from Nick to focus on another character. He was the "lead" mascot in the parade, and he was furious that Nick ruined "his" parade. So he made a Face–Heel Turn and vowed to get revenge on Nick. I thought this subplot was interesting, but my dream cut to the next book without giving any resolution to this subplot.

The second "book" was just about Nick canoeing down a river in a creepy swamp. There was no one else around.

In the third "book", I actually took control of Nick. This book revealed that Zootopia had actual, feudal-era samurai living in it. There was one (let's call him Samurai A) who I accidentally offended somehow, and he vowed to kill me. I panicked and ran for my life. I ran into a library, where I met Samurai A's brother (let's call him Samurai B.) Samurai B seemed pretty chill, so I explained to him what happened. Samurai B told me that Samurai A had already forgiven me, and asked Samurai B to tell me. Okay then.

I exited the library, and suddenly, I was in some empty, sandy area. This van pulled up, and three people (two humans, one dragon-like thing) got out. They were diehard fans of Samurai A, and they had not forgiven me for whatever I did to Samurai A.

The first fan, a human, pointed a machine gun at me. He actually fired a few shots, but even though I was only a few feet away, I somehow didn't get hit. Fan A then started monologuing about something, and he actually put the gun down and turned away while he was talking. I grabbed the gun, pointed it at Fan A, and ordered him and his friends to leave. But Fan A started wresting the gun from me. Then I realized he was actually trying to pull the trigger, even though his body was pressed right against the end of the barrel. I tried to stop him, but... you can guess what happened.

I can't remember what happened with Fan B, the other human, but next I pointed the gun at Fan C, the dragon-thing. I felt bad for him because he didn't seem like he wanted to be there from the beginning, and he was even more terrified now. I don't remember what happened after that, but I think I let him go.

From the night before, I had a dream that had at least Pedguin and Ben in it. The former was somehow a Phantom^note an Innocent that haunts their killer and comes back to life when their killer dies and a Traitor. I remember at some point Ben was a Hypnotist^note a Traitor with a defibrillator that resurrects people as Traitors, but no "buy menu" and there was friendly fire between him and Ped at some point, but I can't remember who shot who. I remember winning the round as an Innocent by shooting Ped in the head with a deagle.
It gave me the idea of a Traitor item that can be used to fake being a Phantom.

Last night, I had some code that recommends sets for use in Pokemon battles. I was creating sets for Volcarona, and though the first two moves were Bug Buzz and a Fire move, which would be normal, the last two moves were Darkest Death and Dark Death, both fake Dark special moves. Darkest Death had 100 power and inflicted various statuses such as Taunt (can't use status moves).^note I'm not sure how much was made up afterwards, but it also inflicted Embargo (items have no effect), Heal Block, Gastro Acid (ability is disabled) and trapped the target. It sounded really overpowered.

Dark Death was basically a special version of Lash Out with elements of Punishment and Burning Jealousy. It had 75 base power, but it doubled if the target had a stat increase on the turn it was used and also increased in power for each stat boost on the target. Its description was basically explaining what it does.

I remembered a really old dream from over 10 years ago.

It took place in my middle school class where I was bullied on a daily basis.^note fortunately that's over 20 years in the past now One of my classmates dared me to turn on a lightswitch and I thought: "well, what the hell, it's just a stupid switch" so I turned it on and at that moment a deep-sounding noise rumbled frow below the ground outside the school, like some humongous engine was starting up. It scared me so I quickly turned the switch back off and fortunately the noise faded. Shortly after a distressed female teacher darted into the classroom and asked what what have we been doing. Everybody was quick to accuse me of messing with the switch. Then the teacher exclaimed: "Leave that switch alone! It activates the nuke!".

Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.

Those random anxiety-inducing dreams are the worst.

I had another weird crossover dream last night. I was watching a show that took place in the Gotham city hall. The show was ostensibly supposed to be about the Gotham City government (kind of like Gotham, but about the mayor instead of the police department), but it featured characters from several other franchises.

There was a room in the city hall containing several paintings. A character from the Final Fantasy games was magically sealed inside each painting. Someone brought a wizard to this room to release Aerith from her painting. However, Sephiroth was in the painting to the left, so the first person jokingly said "Don't hit the painting on the left." But then, there was a continuity error, where the painting on the left was suddenly replaced with that of Kefka. The wizard messed up his spell, and lo and behold, Kefka was released into Gotham City. (There's A Rare Sentence. :P)

A bunch of other characters came to fight Kefka, but the only characters I specifically remember seeing were Klonoa and Joka. Kefka defeated all of them and trapped them in paintings... except Joka, who he convinced to join him.

That's all I remember, but if this story were to continue, we need to see how these two clowns would interact with the Joker. I'd like to think that the Joker and Kefka would hate each other, but Harley Quinn would befriend Joka, and they'd have some wholesome interactions. 😅

I had a really vivid dream last night about being at some weird college/resort...thing? The dorm rooms were basically hotel rooms but it was definitely meant to be a college with a massive campus, including being right near some beach. I remember being in some weird (friendly) conflict with my friends and we were in two groups and I pranked one of them by, er, leaving my phone in the hallway playing rock music and then skedaddling and that somehow got them into some sort of trouble? Maybe? There were also statues on the lawn and I remember something about going to the library, but not the exact details.

Some of these things, like the statues and the library, I think are actually repeated scenes/locations from other dreams I've had, which isn't the first time it's happened to me.
