Alright I just woke up from this one and it's a longer one, get ready.
So I had this really fucking weird dream about watching a playthrough of Just Shapes & Beats, except it was called "Just Shapes And Depression" and it wasn't really JSAB at all because it played a lot more like Monument Valley, you controlled a pink square to solve other pink coloured puzzles which involved pressure plates and stuff that were usually geometrical. The whole time I could hear this guy doing a voiceover of it, from what I could tell he was a really sad guy, you could help him solve puzzles occasionally if he got stuck by telling him where to move his square character (like a Twitch stream). But mostly it was just watching.
As the voiceover went on you learned a bunch of things about his backstory, like how he had a shitty childhood, went on to (apparently) serve in the army, and now he has a job but also a drinking problem. The guy's voiceover was like a game in itself and you could even see his flashbacks in the form of cutscenes while he was playing. Most of them were really over-the-top and dramatic, almost exactly like that "Karen took the kids" documentary video if you've seen it. In fact here's a link so you can.
There was a lot of original humour in there too, in one of the flashbacks there was the guy listening to someone giving a speech about the crappy economy that sounded as if you could find it in a meme compilation, it ended with the speaker saying "also, poor people are boring" and his voice getting bass boosted. Another one was the guy talking during a long puzzle about how one time a police officer approached him while he was in this parking lot, said there was a "blue-eyed yaoi fucker camping out here" into his radio and asked him how tight his pants were (which is mostly how I figured out what the guy looked like, but I don't think he was actually a "yaoi fucker"). And another time when he's stuck in a tougher puzzle the guy asks despairingly if he's some form of oxymoron, because he has a job but he's still broke.
I don't fucking know how my brain came up with that stuff when it can't even write three sentences when I'm awake. The whole deal was it became this comedy fanfiction-esque thing full of black humour and sarcasm, it was actually really hilarious and I would have wanted to read/play it if it were a real thing.
Then the guy has an outright breakdown in one of the levels that took place near a pier-like area, and that's when you realise that no, this wasn't just a video playthrough, he's indeed actually part of the game and so was the voiceover. After that you see a cutscene of him crying on the docks, and you also then realise a lot of the levels and puzzles were parallels for what he was doing in "real life". And the game ends and the credits roll, but you never really get to know what happens to him afterwards because I woke up and I think that's pretty disappointing.
- I was fighting someone who kept coming after me,no matter how many times I beat them,I think I threw them into a haunted house but they somehow still were right behind me
-I was at school but I kept moving between rooms
New theme music also a boxI had a dream that I was in some eighties B-movie about mutants in some secret laboratory or nuclear power plant. The mutants puked some kind of acid or something, basically, if you watched budget horror movies from the eighties, you know the deal.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisRecently had a dream where there was this weird emo guy called "Bloodstalker" or "Darkshadow" something edgy like that and he was a fictional character I created and he got a big fanbase and I kept praising fanfictions his fans wrote about him on this weird forum site (which was pink and white themed) and I was always excessively polite and used lots of ":D" faces.
I have the strangest dreams.
Im on a long hiatus/quitted because im burnt out sorryI had a lot of strange dreams last night, but the one I remember most clearly was one where some other tropers and I were being chased by monsters. At one point, I got separated from DrNoPuma, and I was so worried. :(
A great Mascot Mook.I had a bizarre dream where either Alphys was a real person, and it was in the news that she died recently, or there was some kind of Undertale movie and the actor who played Alphys died. Either way, it was pretty depressing.
One dream had Psychedelicate visiting me and troping at the living room computer. We hugged and I introduced her to my family.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."Two things give me vivid and memorable dreams. One of them is staying up very late. (Don't do this, young tropers.) The dream about Takehito Koyasu that I posted earlier was one of these. Last night, it was another of my recurring dreams about nonexistent locations in Super Mario 64. In the bowels of the castle, accessible from a door in the Basement and with a similar aesthetic, was one of those branching room mazes. Each tiny rectangular room had two doors, one with a Star number on it. If you kept going through the Star-number doors, you would eventually find yourself in Princess Peach's personal quarters, but you were tiny and it was like a catalog image of a young girl's bedroom.
The other thing that gives me vivid dreams is going back to sleep in the morning after being woken up. That's where the Thanos dream and "That Time I Was Trapped in a Virtual Dinosaur World" came from. I have to say, this is one of the most entertaining dreams I've ever had.
It started with me in the science building of my campus as usual, when I saw Jotaro Kujo, Joseph Joestar, and Noriaki Kakyoin in one of the sitting areas. They appeared 2D-animated as usual, but three-dimensional, against "live-action" backgrounds. We were apparently already friends, so I greeted them and we casually conversed for a bit until the building shook and colors temporarily inverted, becoming neon-on-black. Was this the work of an enemy Stand? Who knows... because never once did Stands appear in this dream, but it was definitely important. Jump Cut to my dorm room at night, when all four of us sat in a circle eating snacks and deciding what to do next. Bruno Buccellati and Leone Abbachio showed up uninvited, wearing each other's clothes, and ate our food and drinks without offering much valuable input. Cut again to an Expy of Giovanni organizing some nefarious plan involving Pokémon. He may or may not have been a Pokemon disguised as a human himself. Treecko were definitely involved. The next thing I knew, it was early sunset and I was walking around this open urban environment, like a huge park on the edge of a downtown, with the SDC characters on a Bizarre Adventure of my very own. One building overlooking it had been the building where the bad guy was, and Treecko were crawling around, so we were making our way towards that while investigating every one of the small buildings and sculptures that dotted the expanse of lawn. After climbing stairs to the roof of a small building, the dream underwent a drastic Tone Shift.
A vast projection screen appeared on the horizon and... magnified the setting sun? We could see the arcs and flares of the sun's corona, and the sunspots dancing on its surface, but it grew dimmer and redder as the sun set. This scene had background music: the eponymous song of the Minecraft soundtrack. And then something hilariously Troperiffic happened. Joseph and Jotaro were on the opposite side of the roof, watching for potential danger in the opposite direction from myself and Kakyoin. We ended up leaning on the guardrail, Watching the Sunset together. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" said Kakyoin. So naturally I responded, rather lamely, "It really is." We found ourselves looking at each other, and drawing closer...
...until the screen changed to videos of colorful reef fish and insects pollinating jungle plants, and then to random colorful shapes on a dark background, like what you see when you put pressure on your closed eyes. This last thing had a man talking about mathematics and quantum physics over it. For some reason, this was menacing. It may have been related to the event in the science building that started all this. And then I found myself back in said science building, reading a magazine article about quantum physics. A Dream Within a Dream? Nothing with the bad guy was ever resolved.
TL;DR: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Self-Insert Fic, complete with a shoujo moment with the resident Bishōnen.
They/them or she/herMy subconscious once wrote self-insert Mad-eye Moody shipping fix. He was more handsome than he is in canon, but...why??
@Bluethorn: Awww. :(
@Tropes: Man, that's awful. :(
He may be a giant, nightmarish brute, but like all villains in this series,he sure can sing. The dream that I woke up from this morning:
I was riding a bus in the city, when it was revealed that our bus driver was a terrorist, who took me and all the other passengers onboard as hostages.
She was going to use us as human shields in order to smuggle cash to her other co-workers without police or military interference.
I had just decided to try and take back the bus from her, when I woke up.
(I ALWAYS wake up when something interesting is about to happen in my dreams.)
A few nights ago I had one where I had typed out a swear word in the description for something I'd posted on DeviantArt and Arceus was a Terraria boss.
Last night I had one involving the wormhole minigame from Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, but instead of stopping at one wormhole I went through several of them in a chain. I think I was trying to get to some specific location, but I have no clue where. Other highlights include almost accidentally stealing some kind of trinket before remembering to go back and pay for it (it looked like a tiny scroll made from the tag off a shirt, with grayish clay on the ends, and cost $5), and the person who sent me on my quest (whatever that was) turning out to be the villain, which surprised exactly no one.
Yikes.
I had kind of a scary dream last night. I was in these different scenes where I was running from a bunch of people who were after me. I don't remember a lot of specific details... in one part, I was swimming in the ocean while these people on a yacht were shooting at me. In another, I was running from some evil guy in a huge building with lots of elevators and no stairs.
Except I wasn't really alone...
Bluethorn was there too. For some reason, he was a girl in this version (she was a little stocky, with hair dyed pink) but I still knew it was him (or her.) Bluethorn was trying to protect me from these people, and she/he would often run alongside me, and sometimes even fight the bad guys. But there were times where we got separated, and those were the scariest parts.

He may be a giant, nightmarish brute, but like all villains in this series,he sure can sing.I was back in my high school, and I was part of its singing contest. I got a contestant ticket of 7 while my best friend got 22. As we waited for our turns, I practiced 'Let It Go'. The Heffleys were there for some reason.
When it was time to sing on stage, the judges told us that it wasn't the kind of singing contest the school had before. This time, we had to pick some classical poems to sing to modern beats, and we could change the songs for ₱5000 ($100). I reluctantly took the challenge.
After the contest ended, the judges told us that the results would be out the next day because everyone in school participated, and they changed the format due to lack of time and budget. Confused, I went to the principal's office for answers, but it was abandoned.
I woke up just as confused as I was in the dream.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."I had a dream that took place at some sort of amusement park inside of a mansion, staffed by robot mascots that sort of looked like the Toy animatronics from Five Nights At Freddys, but were actually nice and friendly and colored all-white. There was a live show, but it turned out to be just watching the news, which struck me as not particularly kid-friendly.
Today I was home sick and slept all day. As a result, I had two fever dreams... (even though what was making me "sick" was stress and not an actual illness - stress does tend to make me have weird dreams though.)
The first one was about Rick and Morty going to the moon because tomorrow the moon was due to flood over the first time in 100 years or something like that. (Possibly a multiverse/alternate reality where the moon floods every 100 years... I've been watching too much Rick and Morty :P)
The second one was about this weird virus getting into my computer and I tried to delete it, remove it with antivirus, Googling for answers and only getting irrelevant results saying "Oh yeah it took me days to get my virus out of the computer and it was annoying" or whatever but I just couldn't get the virus out of my computer and then I cried. (Then I woke up and was relieved to find it was just a bad dream and my computer is A-okay)
Im on a long hiatus/quitted because im burnt out sorrySo some weeks ago I dreamt I was watching some or other anime(most likely a made-up one), and in the episode I was watching, a new character appeared. She said she was a friend of Meito Anizawa (would have potholed that to "Anime Tenchou" but that doesn't have a work/franchise page) and shortly after, a flashback showed her and Meito standing outside somewhere. It started with the narrator saying "earlier, she took over the store from her friend" and then Meito started yelling a bunch of stuff I don't remember, a "note" underneath mentioned how he "would not be using his stage name anymore" and part of his dialogue was bleeped out because of this. He would afterwards fly away to somewhere?

shouldn't his favorite genre be RPG and not point and click thoughHad a dream about a guy in suit who let bunch of cats (and a racoon!) out at my house, there were hundreds of cats packed into this one cage,it must have been bigger on the inside
New theme music also a boxBecause finals, and my brain is a snarker, apparently, I had a dream about school. It was in English class, and we were reading The Jungle. Not by Upton Sinclair, but by Walt Disney. The Jungle by Walt Disney. And it was about 7 times as thick as the real life counterpart, like 3 times the size of House of Leaves, even. We were doing a study about it in class, and I saw the normally rowdy class pay silent attention for once.
Perhaps your brain confused it for The Jungle Book?
I had a series of dreams last night.
The first one had me, dave_the_assassin, and Mhazard checking in at a cabin and making it snow coconut shavings everywhere. Dave then had a nice talk with me and hugged me, and I told him not to stop.
Then the dream switched to something worse. I was with my family at a motel that looked similar to our house, and we were frantically looking for my bag because I misplaced it last night. It was nowhere to be found, and I threw a temper tantrum because we had to leave for our next destination already. Since all of my gadgets were there, I had to borrow my sister's phone just to download Discord and inform my HGS friends that the Databases were on indefinite hiatus.
The dream shifted again, this time to more HGS weirdness. The Gamechanger said on the lore channel that since Pearl and Peridot (for some reason) were in the current season, he asked Vengeful Bale to RP as them. In response, Bale went "and den Porl threwew Peridiot in the trayysh", confusing Autistic Alivia, who somehow stumbled upon the RP thread.

"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."My brother needed a hearing aidnote , so we decided to go to a hobby store for some bizarre reason. I should point out we drove there in a repurposed trailer that was made of cheap wood. Anyways, when we got there, he wandered off somewhere while the cashier pulled out a hot pink hearing aid that came with a tiny remote for some reason. I said something along the lines of "No, put that back, I want my brother to decide!" to her as my brother walked over, who ended up being 100% okay with having a pink hearing aid.
At this point, the store was invaded by giant box aliens (as in, aliens that resembled cardboard boxes), who enslaved everyone then and there because reasons. I don't remember what they did and how they got defeated, but I remember that after it was over I was way too traumatized to ever go back to that store.

Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying insideMaybe this counts as a weird dream but I don't know....
I dreamt I was in a very Alternate Timeline version of Wigan, Greater Manchester, in England in May 2019 and saw two Flashes running past - Barry Allen, and a purple Flash who later turned out to be an Identical Stranger to Rosa Dillon/The Top◊ and they were racing along the A577 near Wigan town center (look up Frith Street, Wigan, England on Google Street View if you don't know where I mean!).
Perhaps this came about because I'd been watching clips of the Flash on YouTube that same night.
I only remember a few things from my dreams last night:
- At one point I was at the beach with my sister and looking for sea-shells when a wave slammed into me so hard that I was thrown into a trippy Mind Screw sequence that was set to "Thunder".
- My cousin had a video game that was apparently a The Emperors New Groove game for the Switch, but when we put it in, it was Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Waluigi was playable (as an Ice Climbers-like tag team with Wario).
- I was in the "Step In Time" music number from Mary Poppins for a little while.
- There was a strange fake The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episode wherein Will started dating this girl but apparently her grandmother's ghost began to haunt him. It eventually turned out to be a "Scooby-Doo" Hoax organized by the girlfriend herself in order to scare Will into...giving her the Banks' money, I think?
That night I really slept bad. I had to read two comics and put on a CD to stave off spasmophilia, and when I slept, I got a roleplaying dream that was more of a nightmare, since that involved me carrying (cw: Body Horror and extreme morbidity) skinless (flayed?) bodies of myself for some reason to somehow "ressurect" myself, while wandering in a dense forest.
I suspect seeing the second episode of Manly's Menherafflesia LP to be part of the cause, since there was Itarou's skeleton.
Sorry for any inconvenience I've caused by ever writing here.
That first part sounds creepy. :O But those Octolings would be great interior decorators. :P
I had kind of an interesting dream last night. I had a dream where we got a trailer for Luigi's Mansion 3. This game took place in an enormous mansion called Fats Manornote , which was "built around an old circus."
The entire mansion was circus-themed, with circus objects and decor in every room. The ghosts also resembled circus performers, with the low-level ones being dressed like Pierrot◊. Luigi had to make his way through the mansion to reach the big top, the final level, deep within the mansion.
It wasn't until after I woke up that I realized that we already have a trailer for Luigi's Mansion 3, and it is definitely not circus themed. :P Well, we'll just have to see how it turns out. 🤷♀️
He may be a giant, nightmarish brute, but like all villains in this series,he sure can sing.
