No, there's a big difference between people forced to live on the road, and those who live in settlements. Like, think about how bad things got for Rick's group between the Prison and Alexandria. Think about the state the Wolves are in. Groups on the road are usually clean-ish, but but they're usually a little rougher looking.

And yes, most people carry weapons. That usually doesn't include children. Carl is the exception, not the rule.

The brand (looks like a brand) on the walkers - and on Javier's neck - would definitely seem to indicate a gang of Very Bad People of some sort. Add that in to the fact that AJ isn't with them, and my guess would be that AJ has been kidnapped by psychopaths and Clem's getting her Ellen Ripley on. Not basing that on any hard evidence, you understand, just gut narrative feel.

[up] Of course there's a big difference, but given the state of the world, that difference isn't always going to be immediately visibly obvious. Especially when, again, previous Telltale's Walking Dead characters have managed to remain comparatively clean-looking even when on the road.

And Clementine's been carrying a gun since Season One.

Well, Lee and Clementine's clothing tended to end up covered in blood and stuff, so they tended to look rather filthy. It always bothered me why Lee is wearing his blue shirt from throughout the season, aside from Starved for Help.

If I recall, though, they tended to become remarkably clean once more between episodes (presumably from a visit to the dry cleaner), and many of the other survivors that show up also appear comparatively clean.

Really, the main thing that would to me indicate them being from a nearby settlement or group is that neither of them are wearing backpacks.

Lee and Clem keep their filthy clothes, generally. They don't wash them at all.

Both seasons of The Walking Dead were on sale for 6.25 today, so I bought them for PS 4.

I recently found this tribute song for Kenny. MAJOR SPOILERS for both seasons of the game, but it's a really nice song and I love it. Gives me a Jonathan Coulton vibe.

Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.

Information revealed at NYCC. Information about characters, plot, and themes, so don't watch if you plan in going in completely blind.

  • We play as both, but Javier is the "main character."
  • The roles of Javier and Clementine are "reversed". Javier needs Clementine to help him, as he is "lost."
  • It is called "A New Frontier" because this season will focus on rebuilding. Which is excellent, as I've been hoping for something like that.
  • Story takes place around the Alexandria area in Virginia, around the time of the comics.
  • Regardless of platform, you'll be able to import your choices to the game. I'm predicting a Dragon Age Keep style system.

I think it'll be closer to using the cloud.

But it doesn't matter what system you use. So if you played on the 360, but now have a PS 4, you can still import your choices.

Sorry, I kinda derped on the reading.

Wouldn't the cloud work for that too? After all, DA Keep is a cloud service that allows you to transport save files between consoles and even generations of consoles.

Doesn't the Keep only take things like the Warden/Hawke's name and portrait, and then you have to pick your choices manually?

So no longer Clementine as the main role? Kinda sucks but then again, it DOES make sense. First season, you were Lee. Second season, you were Clementine. I guess it makes logical sense that you'd be someone else in the third season.

You still play as Clementine, though. She is just the secondary protagonist.

So I had an interesting thought regarding this series. Ovbiously these games share the same universe as TWD Comics. And anyone who's watched the TV Show knows that it is very different from the comics, especially with how certain characters are handled {For example, in the comics Carol slowly goes crazy and eventually commits suicide via walker, while in the show she changes over time and goes on to become a complete badass, and various other characters have differing fates from their comic counterparts too}. Well, what if the world of TWD TV Show also had versions of the characters from these games, with the storylines in the games and what happens to the characters being similar and yet very different? What kind of changes do you think would happen to the story and characters in that scenario?

I've wanted Lee and Clementine to cameo on the show for years.

Also, Carol seems less of a drastic change if you consider her the show's version of Andrea, and Andrea as Carol.

Teen Clementine's badassitude has made me interested in this game.

General disinterest in zombies.

After Arvo and the Russian bandits (and a Portuguese speaking bandit in 400 Days), 'tis good to see non-English speakers not be villains. Telltale has been good at having a diverse cast, at least in The Walking Dead, but having two examples of non-English speaking bandits...

The zombie looks weird, like its graphical settings were set way low compared to the rest of the characters...

I'm still feeling the burn of how awful Season 2 was so I'll wait and see.
