But this is plain old Z I'm talking about. Not Super.
In the Cell Saga, everyone piled Goku onto a transport ship and took him the the Kame House while he was recovering from his heart attack. While they were on route, Bulma called them and filled them in on the second time machine...or maybe they called her, but I'm pretty sure it was the latter.
In the Buu Saga, while Super Saiyan 3 Goku was fighting Buu, and Trunks was at the house looking for the Dragon Radar, Bulma remembered where she'd actually kept it, and Krillin was about to fly out to tell him, when Videl said they could just use her mobile phone to call their house.
This isn't really a Super thing. Though even if it was, I'd expect that Bulma or her family could have created a Cell phone by that time.
Edit: And I just realized there's a whole other conversation going on, because I missed the other posts, and didn't realize that Saiga wasn't talking to me.
Never mind.
....P.S. Handsome Rob Is awesome.

One Strip! One Strip!Land lines are awesome...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. As for the thing about "what attracted people to the series in the first place", for me it was "Shooting lasers from your hands is fun."
Dragon Ball for me as a kid was mostly a power fantasy. I barely knew what was going on, since it was difficult for me to actually catch half of the episodes, but I did know that the characters were cool and really powerful. It was enough for kid-me to become a fan, and for adult-me to buy the occasional videogame and have a laugh at Abridged.
But whenever I try to watch the actual series, I mostly end up switching off because I just couldn't bear it.Toriyama's Writing by the Seat of Your Pants style just doesn't go very well with me.

They really should have uploaded the full thing. I understand time contraints, but they hinted at it and seemed to have planned on it for too long at this point.
Watch SymphogearWow, people sure do want to see that Broccoli movie...
