@LSBK
What I mean is that we would veer far into Dude, Not Funny! territory if we had Krillin permanently lose 18, be so broken that he creepily treats a sex bot built for him as if was actually 18. I expect that shit from Family Guy not Team Four Star.
You have to be careful when making cruel humor at the expense of the character, do it too much or to a character that has had no recent victories then it just gets into the Eight Deadly Words and Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy.
And let's really look at Krillin, early DBZA he was a bit of a jerk thus his suffering was at times funny to offset his attitude, such as his excitement over other people dying because he's still alive or abrasive attitude towards others. Or the time that he pulled a major scam involving literally dying.
But recently he has been less abrasive, more helpful to others, having a more mellow attitude and generally less of a jerk. With that, his suffering is more at the hands of villains now.
I hope I'm making a coherent point and not just rambling, but I think Krillin is due for a victory of some sort, sort of karma balancing out, otherwise his suffering stops being funny. That and killing off 18 permanently and replacing her with a sexbot version also seems pretty cruel to her as well.
Law of Narrative Cruelty is just my way of stating "The characters can't keep suffering otherwise you lose the narrative".

I made no comment on that I idea (I dislike it, by the way) but you claimed they were veering away from making fun of Krillin and I've seen no hint of that.
And I don't think they agree with your assessment that characters are "due" karma otherwise making funny of them stops being funny. I mean, they made a joke about Yamcha committing suicide in the future because Vegeta got Bulma pregnant.
I mean, there are some jokes I'd like to see them let go, but I don't see what's supposed to be special about Krillin that he suddenly deserves not to get mocked just because he gets married and has a kid.
And I also have to disagree with your end statement there. There is no narrative to be lost with making fun of Krilliin because it's not the center of any narrative to begin with. They do it, because, first and foremost, they find it funny and that's why they do basically everything. You can disagree with them about what's funny, but you shouldn't misinterpret what they're trying to do.

I mean, he's had fewer things to do overall, so it's inevitable that he gets picked on less. I just wouldn't hold my breath on them actually not taking the opportunity to do so when it presents itself.
Frankly, that sounds a lot more like making 18 a trophy than anything else, implying that their relationship should up his status or whatever.
Some said something about maybe them just killing 18 and replacing her with a poor sex doll or something so that Krillin is miserable and pathetic or something and it turned into this whole thing.

I didn't intend for that but I see what you mean there and I apologize.
But I stand by my view that Raven's idea of making her into a Literal Sexbot is still very cruel and deeply unnecessary.
Really I got tired of the Krillin suffering jokes and I wish to see some change because largely the jokes and the owned counter became largely the same. Same reason I got tired of the Scary Chi-Chi jokes and so on.
Also I do wanna see more with 18 because I love what they have done with her personality and I wanna see her interact with the cast more.
Not sure where the trophy implication keeps coming from. The fact he would have a family and wife would make it hard for some of the others to mock him. He gets a life beyond beating up the next bad guy or in the case of the human cast being useless.
"Shall I use you, or make you mine... I'm not so sure what I'll do." - DorthyOh now I remember. I disagreed with doing that last page but it was ignored, so let me restate my opinion here in a different way. The jokes with Krillin getting owned and dissed work because he's the only one responsible for his own screw-ups, but gutting 18 just to shit on Krillin breaks this joke's point and literally destroys a different character in order to work. How anyone could think this is a good idea, I don't want to know.

Not really. He's not mocked for lacking those things anyway. The only one would probably care is Yamcha, and he's also the only one they like making fun of more.
I mean, you could get some sweet moments out of it (like the real show did), but talking about it like this does carry certain trophy wife implications.
Edit: But this all moot, anyway, they've made their opinion of 18 (and Chichi and Videl) clear. They'd never even think about doing something like "Kill 18 to make fun of Krillin's suffering", in the first place.

They do mock him for being a loser like how Yamaha is mocked. A loser tends to bot have a happy family or loving wife. That was the point I was making. The only thing they can grill him for is still being as broke as the rest of them.

But most of that "being a loser" mocking isn't because he's single, it's because he's weak and treated like a punching bag. That doesn't go away just because he gets a wife and kid.
They've shown themselves to be wiling to manufacture moments for the Krillin owned count. They don't like to let jokes die, for better or worse.

I saw someone say that Masako X said on a Livestream that Part 2 might be uploaded before January 1st.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

@Raven Jesus Christ that's cruel.
Law of narrative cruelty states that Krillin is due for Karmic Comeback after everything he's gone through. Plus they are dropping the "shitting on Krillin" thing from the looks of it.
