He apparently really doesn't like Pilaf in dis world...

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The thing I never got about Broly and Paragus's survival in the movie was how neither Frieza nor Cooler noticed Broly's bubble in the debris. Or bothered to use a Scouter. Or how a power level of 10000 was enough to survive Frieza's Supernova. Or how they had enough air to survive. Or how they could get to a planet without a spaceship. Or how a literal baby could survive without food.

He probably left while the planet was still exploding...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I can buy Broly as an adult, in his Legendary Super Saiyan form, being fast enough to make a spaceship unnecessary.
He'd still need to breathe and eat, but. Purely in terms of distance covered, it might be viable.
As a baby with a power level lower than adult Vegeta, Bardock, Cui and Guldo, much less Burter.
Like. It could take centuries.
I meant Freezer...
He could've gotten bored watching the planet exploding and left before seeing the debris.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. What gets me about Broly's bubble isn't how silly it is that Broly could do this. It's what it would mean to the rest of the canon if the movies were considered part of the series.
That Broly as a baby with a battle power of 10,000 can protect himself and his father long enough to reach safety means that nobody above that battle power should ever feel personally threatened by the destruction of a planet. And that's actually pretty relevant to this series.
It means that Goku was never in any danger on Namek. If Baby Broly could do it, then Goku with a battle power of 150 million could have probably made it back to earth in five minutes, safe and secure in his energy bubble. Hell, it means that even Krillin could have survived Namek's destruction without the slightest difficulty, because he was 7.5x the battle power Broly had when he did it.
Obviously, this is provably not the case. In fact, Critical Existence Failure of the planet our protagonists are on continues to be a problem all the way through the end of the Buu arc.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Though, that's pretty much because a) the villains are hitting the planet with way more energy than is needed to destroy the planet, and b) the heroes for the most part still need to breathe, so even if they survived they'd just end up suffocating to death in the void of space.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!On Namek, it's the same villain.
And clearly breathing in space wasn't a problem for Broly, so if he could do it, so could any of our protagonists by the time Namek occurs.
None of these excuses justify Broly's survival. There is no argument for Goku potentially being killed on Namek that Broly surviving Planet Vegeta's destruction would not immediately disprove, were it not exclusively film-canon.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Different form, though, which makes the comparison different.
And Broly was clearly powering up when he saved Paragus, so his 10,000 battle power would be inaccurate here. If he had actually become a Super Saiyan at this point, he'd be at least 500,000 - close to the form of Freeza that destroyed Vegeta.
The part about space travel being way too easy still stands, though. At the end of the movie he's sent through space from New Vegeta to Earth, while dying, and manages to make it quite easily.
edit: Of course, Namek is in a different location than Vegeta was, so it's also possible that they could just say that Broly was able to last just long enough to get to the next inhabitable planet, but Namek wasn't close enough for anything for Goku to survive.

These new ships got that good speed...don't worry about it.

Well, he and his friends (and Vegeta) are going to save the day...barely, but still.
