Trunks being called a Princess by the Saiyan forces and Vegeta immediately taking advantage of that was hilarious.

So, is part 2 coming soon? Like tomorrow? In the past they've released multi-part episode and stuff at one installment a day.

You're right about that. I'm going to wait for both parts to come out before watching, by the way.

So we were promised two Hellsings a year.

Instead we got none.

Eh, it comes when it comes, they've got a lot on their plates. I do find it a bit weird that I don't think they even acknowledged it this time, though.

Kaiser apologized for the delays on TFS's Facebook, actually. I think he mentioned something about it coming soon as well, but I'd have to dig through to find the exact post

Vegeta was absolutely marvellous. Comedy gold all the way.

Other than that, it was obviously the part leading up to the actual exciting bit. Can't really fault them for that, but I'm kinda regretting not waiting for the second part to go up before watching this one.

The sub slave race was a bit egregious, though.

I found that the most hilarious part.

I realize that I should have asked this when he was discussed in the Top 24 villains, but why was King Piccolo giant? Kami wasn't, and Piccolo Jr. wasn't.

I mean, Piccolo Jr is nearly 7 feet tall.

Then again, King Piccolo is about 9, so I'm wondering that, too.

That was good, though given the source material, they're doing the best they can

[up][up][up] I checked the DBZ wiki. It says Piccolo Jr. is 7'5". But the same source lists NAPPA as only 6'10". I don't know what even.

Ah. Well.

That was decent of TFS, not as good as they normally do, but even though the original is full of mediocrity worth mocking they should be commended for failing to take advantage of that mediocrity.

I mean, DBZA is funny because it's not just making random references and off-the-wall jokes, right? It's funny because it's not completely inaccurate, it's taking what's already there to a comical extreme, making rationalizations of more ridiculous elements and exagerations of the less ridiculous ones. The less sense the original makes (Trunks's HETAP, Vegeta moving into Bulma's place, Goku giving Gohan a bastardized sequel to Bardock's story, Vegeta showing up inexplicably, etc) the funnier it is when the parody gets there.

Therefore, isn't the quality of the source material inversely proportional to the potential of the parody? Thus, if Broly is terrible as a film, then the parody has a lot of material to work with, and should therefore be hysterical.

Pre-rage Broly and everything Vegeta did were the best parts.

I'm guessing no-one ever expected to find Broly funny in a way that wasn't related to mocking him, but there you go.evil grin

You know what. I'm really glad they could have funny moments with Broly without outright resorting to mocking him at every turn.

Hell even his passive attitude doesn't feel malicious.

This is a really mature way to make a movie with a character they have stated to dislike, and I like that they can be the bigger individuals and not resort to what so many others (myself included) would probably would have done.

Not a laughfest but good nonetheless. The best parts where anything with Vegeta and the lead up to Broly's transformation.
