Chilled kinda sounded similar to Mickey Mouse as portrayed in South Park.
I also loved how the sheer stupidity of the special's concept made Bardock go Super Saiyan.

The Tuffles were mentioned in filler in Z. And it wouldn't be more confusing because GT and Baby never happened because they weren't canon. The Episode of Bardock probably isn't canon either to be honest.
It wouldn't be confusing how the Tuffles could turn into Baby because the Tuffles and Baby never actually existed.

No, I mean those things are supposed to be the ancestors of the Sayjins. How the fuck does that even happen?!
I think Bardock can sum it up.
"OF ALL THE STUPID! ASININE! SHARKJUMPING BULLSHIT!"
You are not alone. One plothole for the Abridged-verse version of Episode of Bardock is that Dream!Gohan's complaints include that Bardock shouldn't have lost his ability to see the future when he went back in time. And that's about the point when Gohan's subconscious realizes that everything about Episode Of Bardock is a dream.
...How did he know that Bardock could see the future? How did he know anything about Bardock? Bardock kinda died when Goku was a baby, so it's doubtful that he or Gohan or Goten or anyone else knows much of anything about him. Vegeta probably knows the name, because Bardock was a pretty cool guy that didn't afraid of anything, but the see into the future thing was probably something prince Vegeta didn't know anything about.
But Frieza references it a few times. It seems like Bardock Father Of Goku happened, in the abridged-verse at least, even if not in the actual Dragon Ball Z. But I have no idea how Gohan would know about those events, and would be able to recognize the inconsistencies enough to realize he was dreaming.
Gohan is obviously supposed to be an Audience Surrogate, and use his smarts to recognize that none of that could possibly be true because it makes no sense. But it also doesn't make sense for him to know about the things it contradicts, when he wasn't born at the time, and the people that were alive at the time either weren't there, died, or had massive head trauma reducing their mental abilities and giving them amnesia.

The explanation for the purple people becoming the Saiyans is that in the original Episode Of Bardock, the purple people were called "Plants"
, and didn't become the Saiyans. It isn't even really clear that they became the Tuffles either. They only exist at all in Episode Of Bardock, which isn't canon, didn't happen, and none of the events or features of which exist in canon!Dragon Ball Z.
In Abrdiged-verse Episode of Bardock, it's all a dream. The problem is that the dream ended because nothing made sense and the logical mind of the dreamer caused him to wake himself up. But he was only able to know it was a dream because he had knowledge he couldn't have possibly had.

But she and the rest of the members of Bardock's team were dead on a completely different planet after Dodoria killed them. In both Bardock Father Of Goku and the Episode Od Bardock, and the abridged versions of both.
...Also, what would that have to do with anything at all?

Until I saw the credits, I could have sworn that Chilled was voiced by Doug Walker.
