When you link the video, can you add in who it is in spoilers? The site doesn't load well on my phone so I just have to guess until I can get to a computer at home.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. The only reason I was being defensive about Demon King Piccolo being on the list, is BECAUSE everyone else was acting like he (and other Dragon Ball villains) absolutely wasn't going to be on it.
And that's a reason to be defensive because why exactly? I don't anyone was going "absolutely no pre-Z villains", but it's not like the people who had doubts were going "pre-Z villains all suck" or anything like that.
Again, you were defending against something no one actually did.

Who was acting like Daimao wasn't going to be on the list? I think we were all taking it as a given that he would. Really he's the only DB-era villain who feels like he's guaranteed a spot.
Like, seriously, point me to a single post where anyone even implied Daimao might not make it.

He wanted to rule the world actually.
Came pretty close to getting it too.
Speaking of King Piccolo, TFS criticized him for not wishing for immortality, but I totally get why he didn't.
He shouldn't have ever needed to. He was the biggest, baddest, strongest dog in the yard, and there wasn't anyone who was a physical match for him.
The only threat he fear was the Mafuuba, and he went out of his way to kill anyone who might have been strong enough to learn it (only getting unlucky in regards to meeting Roshi).
After Roshi died (barring Tien then learning it) he'd eliminated any and all threats to him. There should have no need for him to need immortality. It's entirely possibly that constantly reviving himself the way he did with Jr. was a part of his plan to keep fucking shit up for all eternity.
Plus, he'd have needed to wait a year if he went for both restored youth and immortality, so it made sense for him to drop the latter based on what I said above.
He couldn't have seen Goku coming, especially since nobody saw Goku coming.

One Strip! One Strip!I feel like Pilaf honestly wouldn't have made a terrible ruler of the planet.
Granted, he'd be kind of petty and not too competent, but it's not like the current ruler of the world is that much better.
Hell, isn't it implied that the reason there's a one-world government in Dragon Ball because someone managed to summon Shenron?
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone else![]()

Maybe, but he could have at least wished for eternal youth instead of just being young again. The first is a permanent fix to the problem he was trying to correct, the latter is just a temporary solution and he wouldn't have even been able to do it again because he destroyed Shenron.

...Does Pilaf actually have fan appeal though?
Not gonna lie, before GT, and between GT and Battle of Gods, how many people forgot he and his gang existed?
Like, I don't hate Pilaf, I think he and his lackeys serve their role of comic relief meddling and inconvenient villains fairly well. Even if they've been annoying as hell in Battle of Gods and Super, and everything to do with Mai and Trunks is creepy as shit.
But does anyone actually have them as favorite antagonists?
Like, Broly at least has fans. People that talk about him and like him, and even if I disagree with them entirely, for them he is their favorite villainous character.
But was anyone really clamoring for Emperor Pilaf to come back?
Nope. I'm pretty sure the reaction to them being in Bo G was "What the fuck" and Mai becoming Trunks's love interest was "Ew no stop that."
My various fanfics.

To get back to the original point while Shenron dying was surprising, it was ultimately a pretty easy fix. Piccolo and Kami's death required travelling to a different planet and fighting Space Hitler to undo.
This song needs more love.
