Oh, that was gold. Dende scares me so much. But he's hilarious.
Also, they contradicted canon on the number of wishes they have but, hey, no one gets that right.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Gero's son was mentioned in a guidebook. He was a part of the RRA and died to enemy gunfire.
As for the immortality thing, I don't know why they did that.
Also, I think Lani has a much better Mr. Satan voice than whoever voiced him here.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Nothing but excellent humor all episode.
- Herclue's voice is great, and the reaction to his Satan name better.
- Popo screwing with the time chamber to explain Vegeta's weaker level is also great.
- Dende returns to become Kami, Super Kami Dende.
- I didn't expect the video about Dr. Gero's retconned son. Nice piece of drama to 16's character though.
- But of course, Mr. Perfect Cell recounting the story of Dragon Ball to that terrified announcer was the surprise highlight.
Toriyama came up with the idea for 16 being modeled after Gero's son YEARS after DBZ wrapped up. However its one of those retcons that really explains a lot of things, like why Gero hates Goku soooo much. Makes it far more personal that just having Goku wipe out the organization that was apparently paying him to work on robots.
I don't know if "Best Cold Open" is a category, but this episode takes the cake.

Yeah, that part wasn't necessary anyway. Everything else was better.
The episode really just fell off a cliff for me once Dende showed up. Really not funny and, with all the custom animation, just not fun to look at.
I did appreciate the whistle gag, at least.
Although the part with Gero's son was amazing.
Why?

My various fanfics.I think they did the exchange that way because it's funnier, treating it like haggling. It's still easy enough to correct it later, but the issue won't come up with the main series so I doubt it will need to.
As for the time chamber thing with Vegeta, I highly doubt it was done for anything more than a gag. It wouldn't explain Vegeta's weaker level, because Vegeta still got a lot stronger from his second trip in the RoSaT (he mastered Super Saiyan, and stopped using Grade II) he just didn't catch up to Goku/Gohan because he trained alone.
Well, that and he can't compare to Goku's natural gifts. Which is probably going to start an argument about how Vegeta is the gifted one and Goku is the hard working underdog, but it's right their in the original source - after this point, Goku is consistently treated as being more talented than Vegeta.

I don't know why you'd have that misconception though, the story is pretty clear about what it's going to do. And Krillin contemplates destroying 18's body right after anyway, so it's not like making it a detonator solves a problem that wasn't addressed.
It works out because it doesn't really change anything, but because it doesn't change anything, saying it makes more sense is wrong.

I don't know why you would post a link to twitter about something, and them spoiler it, especially when we've already heard about it.
