The series really did have some pretty weird elements way back when. I hope the "Bojack is a stereotypical pirate" gag comes up again, if only as a throwaway joke.

"sorta". I know it's different.
That's a good one for Imperfect Cell. I was thinking for Perfect Cell it'd be a simple "I'm perfect and you will quote everything I say." But I also thought that episode 3 would be Android 16 saying "I am programmed to murder Son Goku and deliver lines that you will quote." or something.
I'm quoting them almost verbatim there: someone asked them on stream once when they'll make Kai 3, and they exclaimed that they aren't even done with Cell yet, until they realized that they could do the Android Saga. They then went 'nah, screw it!', and went back to the game.

"And you will quote everything I say."
Potential nothing. Even if we discount all the people he drank, he forcibly envelops two separate people onscreen. The only gray area is whether or not Dragon Ball's one-world nation is progressive enough to classify forced envelopment as rape.
Is it bad if I want this to end with Androids 17 and 18 filing a lawsuit against Gero's estate for emotional damages?

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.His estate is basically the money and possessions left behind when he passed. Ordinarily his estate would pass to next of kin. His son's dead but if he had a sibling or a cousin or just random asshole named in his will, it goes there.
Barring anything resembling a definition for next of kin, his estate would be open for relatives to file an inheritance claim until a certain number of years have passed. After that, with no heirs claimed, the money is basically absorbed into the government IIRC.
As a result of not being related to Gero and it being unlikely he left them anything in his will, Android 17 and 18 couldn't file claim for inheritance. But they can sue his estate for compensation based on the emotional damages he put them through.

You're right that proving his connection to the Androids would depend on whether hard copies of his research exist anywhere but the lab Krillin and Trunks destroyed. Proving his connection to Cell would be even harder, since the machine growing Cell was blown the f*ck up and Cell himself was atomized so there's very little physical evidence to study.
An attorney may also try to dismiss 17's claim on grounds that a magical dragon reconstituted his body and therefore it cannot be proven what his biology was like prior to resurrection.
