Okay here we go.
So the short version is that Ms. Marvel is raped, gives birth to the man who raped her, falls in love with him, and then leaves Earth to marry him. The rest of the Avengers are fine with this.
My various fanfics. You cut out the true dumbness. Allow me to edit it for pure dumbnessity
The Mind Control angle is what elevates this from "wow comics are awful to women" to true infamy that looks at One more Day and goes "Come at me bro"

I'd say that while One More Day, content-wise, isn't as bad as Avengers #200, the damage it did is still being felt, even if things have recovered since.
Avengers #200 is pretty objectively worse, but it's awfulness is fairly condensed to that issue (as far as I'm aware), and most people these days seem determined to forget it ever happened.
Oh God! Natural light!Well it did have in universe consequences. Chris Claremont, who had written a lot of Miss Marvel was so horrified he used another anniversary book to bring her back, have Miss Marvel give a giant Take That! to the Avengers for basically doing fuck all while she was being roofied and carried off to the rape dimension, and then used that as a reason to have her pal around with the X-Men for a while.
You can't have a Superhero comic without the dumb stuff. Every plot has some level of stupidity. Both Heroes and Villains squander what money and resources they have into their respective Alignment.
x3 True. I suppose it would be more accurate to say that One More Day's consequences are still visible today, while Avengers #200 has ultimately been left to rot in hell where it belongs. Of course, One More Day is more recent...
The Avengers have fought Godzilla. It was cross-country and stupid.

How is that dumber than Peter Parker selling his Marriage because Joe Quesada couldn't think of how to write Peter in a healthy adult relationship?
