Well the wiki page
does say that they put everybody's bodies in refrigerated coffins following the battle with the Saiyans. They even have pictures. So I guess you are right.

This is why God Job is a trope.
To be fair if anime had its's way, god
would be a highschool student
with a massive inferiority complex
.

We use the title as His "name" because it's intended to be a form of reverence and human humility that we are not worthy to speak His name, though we are capable and have the free will to do so. However, some don't believe that "that" is His "name", and some were never exposed to the idea that He has a "name".
Not everyone who follows an Abrahamic religion has low respect for others, and not all denominations do, either. It's generally a bad idea to paint with a broad brush.
And with that, I'd appreciate it if we got off this area of derail.
The body thing isn't actually as dumb as you might think. When Goku died his body faded away. The only person who did that during the Saiyan saga was Kami. None of the other people who were killed did that, their bodies just stayed where they were, so Toei had no indication that their bodies went with them to the afterlife. In fact it wasn't even revealed that they did keep their bodies in the afterlife until well into the Freeza saga.
Never mind, I think I misremembered. I don't think the anime has the coffins either. I thought it did, but that's not the inconsistency, it's that Tien, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu are shown on Kaio-sama's planet deliberating over who gets to come home first while the wish is being made. The choice goes to Yamcha and Porunga summarily resurrects him by dumping him into a nearby fountain for lulz.
The manga covers their revivals in one or two pages of text boxes explaining that the humans got revived and New Namek became a thing before moving immediately into the Mecha Frieza portion of the story, so this is one of the cases where Toei fleshed it all out on their own and, because Toei is Toei, they pointedly ignored the established canon.
Specifically, that Yamcha's revival would only remove his halo. You're revived where your remains are and he's got his with him so, like Goku, he would then have to return down Snake Way on his own and proceed through the Check-In Station to God's Lookout, then fly out to Bulma's place to meet the others.
After Porunga recuperates for another round of wishing, Tien and Chiaotzu are later shown revived on-the-spot in Bulma's courtyard as well.
This issue is especially ridiculous because earlier in the episode, they actually discuss the fact that the "revive where your remains are" thing would completely screw over Goku and Krillin's resurrections. They would pop back to life in space where Namek used to be and immediately die again. Goku sidestepped the issue by not being dead, but they had to burn a wish on moving Krillin's revival spot and then use a second to resurrect him.
That part's actually from the manga, which is why Toei got it right, but the moment they were let off the canon-chain, they immediately contradict it with Yamcha.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.....I never noticed that.
Since they kept the part about needing to move Krillin to Earth's check in station, Yamcha just dropping in like that does make little sense.
One Strip! One Strip!Yamcha had his corpse with him at the time.
I mean, that might be what Toei was going for, but that gets right back to Toei screwing up the death/revival mechanics.

Already posted earlier.
Also, I'm actually listening to english dub Dragonsoul for shits and giggles, so the timing makes me chuckle.
One Strip! One Strip!

See above, re: cool exotic mythology.
They're about as accurate to the faith as we are with the legends and myths that we borrow to write stories about.
