I like that it's not identical to his Alucard voice. I mean, it's very similar, but it's not the same.
I think my favorite thing about the PC voice is how much Taka is relishing the experience. You can tell he's been waiting to do these lines for like five years.
My various fanfics.I just love how dismissively yet totally accurate Cell's "wait for Goku" barb is - it's like a "The Reason You Suck" Speech, abridged into one sentence.
The first time, Vegeta was so assured of his own power that he ignored how outmatched he was. Instead of waiting for Goku like everyone said, he dove into a situation he couldn't possibly win, assuming he could dig into unknown wells of power and ascend enough to put Freeza in his place. Obviously he could.
This time, Vegeta really shouldn't have had a need to wait for Goku. He had more than enough strength to finish things. When Cell first suggests he go get Goku, he puts his fist through him in a totally awesome moment. But while it was touch and go for a while, Perfect Cell's last barb makes it clear that he never thought Vegeta would really pull it off. He was always going to fail. Not because of his strength, but because of who he is as a person.
No matter how strong he is, he's just not good enough.
Plus, it's a great Bookend to the fight. Perfect Cell can press the Goku Button all day long and not only will he never be wrong, but now all the blustering and bullying Vegeta did in response is just pathetic.

Which makes Ressurection F all the more funny because for once Vegeta had the situation completely under control but it still reverted to lolGokuwins.
In both Ressurrection F and especially Super, Vegeta has largely lost the character flaws that made him such a loser in Z to the point where there are times where he's the one who has his head on straight while others don't. He's still a hothead, but now that makes him more The Comically Serious and Goku's Straight Man than the fool whose issues keep him from success that he was in Z. He actually reminds me of Piccolo at times.
Even against Freeza, though Goku had to kill steal to save him from a cheap shot Vegeta undeniably won that fight, showing himself to be a stronger and wiser fighter than Freeza.

This is especially notable since having the chance to fuck up Frieza again after the latter made him (to quote the version of that incident from this version) cry like a bitch. You'd think Vegeta would be frothing at the mouth to absolutely wreck him, but outside of getting annoyed at the two sand-bagging, he's rather calm through-out the whole incident. It's kinda funny really.
If he'd been a few seconds quicker, he'd have finished it and just called it a day, no harm done.
One Strip! One Strip!Didn't Vegeta lose that fight since he died and Frieza didn't, because of his character flaw of drawing out the fight? Like, that was the moral of the story right? Whis tells them what they're doing wrong at the beginning, they eat shit cause they don't listen, and then they get a second chance after the lesson is learned.
True enough.
Vegeta wasn't trying to go slowly (he did get pissed because both of them were dicking around).
He was doing it right by just getting it over with. His only mistake was not realizing how willing Frieza was to Rage Quit.
One Strip! One Strip!I feel like, once Freeza went Golden and started kicking the crap out of Goku, there was tension until Goku and Vegeta spotted Golden Freeza's Fatal Flaw.
And note that both Beerus and Whis were saying they could have settled it quickly if they just fucking worked together.
And while the ending of both the movie and anime version of the whole thing implies they learned nothing, I do believe that if something really bad happened to that extent, this time they wouldn't fuck around and just double team the dude. Nothing cements that lesson like the Earth exploding.
And of course, now that it can be undone, I'm hoping for Super Saiyan Blue Vegetto. He's gonna be a massive Godzilla Threshold (more for personal reasons considering they probably wouldn't want to do it), but I'm hoping Toriyama is ready to go there, since he's given himself an out for preventing it...
Then again, he may just come up with hundreds of reasons why they won't do it as well, since he loves creating tension in that way.
One Strip! One Strip!Vegeta didn't draw out the fight as much as defeat Freeza and then say a few words before preparing to finishing it. It wasn't even like Gohan gloating to Cell, it was surprisingly methodical. When Freeza blew up the planet, he did it the lethal damage almost instantly rather than make a show out of forming a Death Ball or anything.
The first time, the only people who saw it coming were Beerus and Whis. Never underestimate the speed in which a person will go "fuck it." Ragequits only take a second, after all.
Speaking of Super/Ressurrection, I think I can add "we won't ever see LittleKuriboh play Frost" onto the reasons I'm sad they're not doing Super.

So when it really comes down to it, Vegeta's only mistake was one of the same ones Goku made:
Not double teaming Frieza from the get go and ending it. Outside of that, he did everything right, was only a second too slow, and still paid for it.
One Strip! One Strip!Oh MAN, Frost was so cool, and hearing Little Kuriboh voice him would've been fantastic!
We must dream.
It's all we can do, for reality will merely betray us.
Damned backstabbing ho.
Reality here is played by Toei Animation.

Guys, this is the DBZ Thread is it not? Let's focus on the topic at hand: Trucker Hats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH3X2U9t2P0
