Yes. The Great Saiyaman occurs immediately after the timeskip, just before the plot of the Buu Saga actually picks up.
Correcting the spelling. Frieza's name has been recorded incorrectly in whatever he learned the history from (Bulma's database or something) and he's going to fix the typo when he returns to the future.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. It's short but memorable, and I desperately hope TFS doesn't breeze past it like they did with Garlic Jr.
I don't think they will, because unlike Garlic Jr., this is actually from the manga. Gohan actually did that. It's not filler.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.It was an awesome Sentai spoof, I mean seriously what else would happen when an Adorkable nerd with super powers tries his hand at being a super hero.
It works because Gohan is a massive f*cking dork and everyone else in the cast acknowledges and is embarrassed by it, but Gohan thinks it's the coolest idea ever. And it works because he's powerful enough to make it work.
He's the Ginyu Force of superheroism. He can be as dorky and ridiculous as he wants to be because when he's operating at a planet-smashing level of power, nobody can tell him not to be. Beyond common decency, all the reasons not to act like the Large Ham the Great Saiyaman is fall flat when he can block cannons with his face.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.It is much shorter in the manga, though. Sadly. Great Sayaman adventures are probably the only anime thing I missed when reading the manga.
Exactly. The point of the Great Sayaman is not that he is a cool super hero. It is that he is absolutely ridiculous and, yet, Gohan threats it absolutely seriously and everyone else is forced to because he is that powerful.

Except, of course, for multiverse theory.
Poor lonely, horny Bulma.
No, I'd say that they were right but it just falls under an intentional So Bad, It's Good.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!![]()
Yes.
Also, I REALLY want that fan-crossover with One Punch Man to involve the Great Saiyaman in some way, shape, and form.

You know, some of Abridged Vegeta's boasts are funnier now that, over in Super, he's mastered the power of God by doing lots of push-ups.
- TRUNKS: He fused with Kami so he could get stronger.
- VEGETA: The f*ck's a Kami?
- KRILLIN: Basically God.
- VEGETA: But I'm still here!
- TRUNKS: Do you really believe your own hype that much?
- VEGETA: I AM THE HYPE!!!
You sure are, Vegeta. You sure are.

What does trunks mean by fixing it?
I have a message from another time...
