Blame the overall declining anime industry of The New '10s. Highly competitive and oversaturated, draconically strict regulations, hellish woking conditions... I would've been surprised if the animation wasn't terrible.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — Ultimatepheer2 new episodes of Team Four Star playing Raging Blast 2 are on youtube.
There's also everything ufotable makes and everything made by A-1 Pictures. Not to mention JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. There are plenty of examples of great animation in The New '10s. Hell, for something more relevant, Battle of Gods had fantastic animation and Resurrection "F" was no slouch either.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Season 1 of Sword Art Online and every episode of The Asterisk War so far have been beautifully animated.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! What if Team Four Star decides to make their own version of Dragon Ball Super by including footage from Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F'?
Also, people are forgetting that Web Gen animators are starting to become popular freelancers, and with the latest tech, are actually making production values overall higher this decade then any past one before it.
Pretty Cure is Toei's best in terms of TV anime at the moment thanks to this.
Watch SymphogearMostly because they don't let their best animators work all the time, and usually leave the grunt work to their Philippines studio, which is known to be their worst one.
They have good veterans like Natoshi Shiida and Kazuhiro Ota.
Hell, the most recent Precure has Shingo "Star Driver" Fuji as a major fight scene animator, for one. They also let their best animators work with Gen Urobuchi on Expelled From Paradise, too.

Watch SymphogearWell, by the original definition
the idea that jet fuel can't melt steel beams is certainly a meme among actual conspiracy theorists. Among non-truthers it fits the more typical usage of the word.
I remember when I knew very little about Dragon Ball and was just absorbing things piece meal... I knew Brolly was this dude who fucked everyone's shit up. I thought he was an actual part of the main series too. Then I kept seeing that gif of 13 decking Goku in the dick.
"Oh yeah, so that must be Brolly, huh?"
A lot of my early absorption of DBZ came from AMVs, which left me waiting for specific scenes I thought were cool in the actual series. Many of those scenes were from movies.
Broly was one of those. There was a music video that spliced Vegeta getting smashed in the Broly movie with Vegeta rising up as a Super Saiyan, knocking down Android 15. So for a long time, I thought they were part of the same scene.
I spent much of the series waiting for one scene of Goku and Vegeta putting their cheeks together and forming a cross with their hands to fire a conjoined ki attack. I think that was either filler from inside Super Buu or from the Janemba film, I can't recall. I just remember being disappointed when I actually saw it because I had mistakenly assumed it to be an example of how well they learned to work together and coordinate as a team, when instead it's a begrudging desperation move.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.

Not Blu-Ray, something else, I think? Someone on the DBZ thread mentioned they'd fixed Episode 5.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
