"The birds will save us! BIRDS! BIIIIIIIIIRDS!"
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The question is how they can make it funny whilst still keeping it dramatic.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Have his entire speech be nothing but a string of bird puns that still somehow touching.

"not to be circulated on pain of Alucard".
"pain of death" would probably be sufficient, but you really need to sell the punishment on this one.
...Why didn't Krillin fly to reach the mic's height?

I have a message from another time...Garlic Jr. escapes the Dead Zome through some one-time weakness in the dimensional divide. He attacks Kami and Popo and tales over the Lookout. He goes to a special room and places a jar of water that awakens evil intentions in people, which pours down from the lookout, becomes a fine mist, and spreads over the whole world, making a bunch of people go evil.
Some of our heroes, including Gohan and Krillin, avoid the mist and go to fight Garlic, while Kami journeys to the room where the evil jar was placed, so he can remove it.
It all ends with Garlic Jr. opening and falling prey to the Dead Zone. Again.
I have a message from another time...... actually not that bad, honestly. Garlic Jr. and his henchmen take Kami Tower, seal Kami in a bottle, then release the Black Water Mist from the place where the world's winds originate, which make people evil and serve Garlic Jr.
By merit of Goku not being around, it had, you know, spotlight for other people which was nice. And I liked Piccolo's gambit ( he was unaffected by the mist, by merit of being kinda... Made of Evil and when he bit people he actually told them to pretend to be brainwashed).
The only thing that really bothers me about the arc is, like Dead Zone, it ends when Garlic Jr summons the Dead Zone (AKA the one thing that can defeat him). AGAIN. Even as a kid, that struck me as incredibly lazy writing.

So if they ever decide to abridge GT, they might wind up going "...whoops".

x5: Two Words — Cooler 2.
...and the Buu saga in Kaiser's case.
That they hate something doesn't mean they won't abridge it, and I'd actually like to see what they can do to not just make fun of it, but fix it.
Besides, the whole series is only 42 episodes; less than even one Z arc.

x4: Yeah, seemed the case. He also seemed the strongest at the beginning of the Android Saga with the way he was taking charge... but then again, he would probably be doing that if he was weaker.
Eh, we've seen the afterlife. It's not that different from normal life. Hell, can't some people travel back and forth? The Kaio-shins aren't dead, after all.
DBZ seems to take "immortality" to mean "invulnerability" though. It's tough to tell since Garlic Jr. is the only example, but the fact that he wasn't broken or hurt from anything seemed to indicate that. Anyone's attacks could at best stagger him, or he'd heal anyway. It's a sweet deal, honestly.

Hop on over to this page and add them.I liked the Garlic Jr. mini-saga, the villain actually had a creative plan besides "kill everything with superior strength", and it was nice to see an arc that didn't have Goku or Vegeta. Plus, Kami's ordeal was a nice way to give him a small spotlight while simultaneously justifying Piccolo being weakened for the fight.
Regarding the immortality, someone (Gohan, I think) pierced a hole through Garlic Jr.'s chest. He regenerated on the spot, and said it was thanks to his immortality. So, removing organs wouldn't work to stop him.
On the other hand, the Mafuba could work. That was a missed opportunity, having Piccolo or Kami seal away Garlic Jr. with that would've been great.
EDIT: Also, they justified Garlic Jr. being stronger with this being a once-in-a-lifetime event that strengthens demons. Not a bad explanation, as afar as Dragon Ball goes.

Yeah, I was surprised the Mafuba didn't come back. Would've been perfect. The only problem with it is potential Continuty Lockout.

I just want 16's dying monologue to be about nothing but birds. We've been building up to that imagery since 16 was given a hobby.
